Your new role

As our Business Development & Strategic Projects Lead, you will be the driving force behind inorganic growth and high-impact strategic initiatives. You will identify and pursue external opportunities – from co-promotion partnerships to new business models – while leading cross-functional teams to deliver results that expand our reach and redefine how we operate in the market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Business Development & External PartnershipIdentify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, including Co-promotion partnerships, Strategic alliances, New business models and collaborations; Lead end-to-end BD process including opportunity identification, business case development, negotiation support and implementation follow-up
  • Strategic Project LeadershipAct as project lead / scrum master for high-priority strategic initiatives; Drive cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, CE, market access, regulatory affairs, medical, legal, etc.; Ensure projects are delivered on time, with clear ownership with business impact to the organization.
  • Company-wide Initiative Execution (External-facing)Lead or coordinate major initiatives such as co-promotion partner follow-up, defining Distribution / Wholesaler strategy, new channel or ecosystem initiatives; Ensure effective integration between external partners and internal teams.
  • Opportunity Assessment & Business Case DevelopmentBuild robust business cases with market attractiveness, financial impact, strategic fit; Provide clear recommendations to leadership for decision making; Assess risks and mitigation strategies (regulatory, legal, operational, partner-related).
  • External Ecosystem managementBuild and manage relationships with industrial partners, digital/healthcare ecosystem players; Ensure long-term partnership value creation and governance
  • Strategic Insight & InnovationIdentify emerging trends and opportunities including market shifts, competitive moves, new business models; Translate into concrete strategic initiatives.

Your new department

The Business Development & Strategic Projects Lead reports to the Customer Engagement Director, and you will will sit at the intersection of commercial strategy and external growth – working closely with affiliate leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure we expand beyond organic growth through partnerships and strategic projects that accelerate our impact. This role is a single contributor position.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of business development, partnerships, and cross-functional execution. You'll bring with you:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry with relevant background in business development, commercial strategy, planning, consulting, or finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/management or life science in addition to fluency in English and Korean

  • Proven track record in business development, partnership deal-making, project leadership, and cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market including trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment, combined with strong financial acumen and business case development capabilities; Knowledge and learning agility to expand your view beyond medicine into the broader ecosystem – including data, digital, and emerging technologies
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, paired with strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented, impact-driven approach; Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence across functions with an enterprise mindset that maximises synergy in line with company priorities
