Job Description

This role will train ophthalmologists on parent consultation, patient fitting and post dispense support and follow up as required for CooperVision’s success in myopia management. They will report back learnings and insights for ongoing success and refine training and tools accordingly. A key function of the role will be the establishment and development of an ophthalmologist prescribing network that drives the adoption of MiSight.

In addition to the above duties, the Myopia Development Manager will lead Professional Service activities through real world data collection, developing clinical papers, clinical guidelines and case study reviews. This role represents CooperVision Myopia Management initiatives through participation and presentation at ophthalmology meetings.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Build and develop myopia management opportunity in eye clinic
  • Drive awareness and knowledge amongst key stakeholders (HCP, Optician, industry groups, etc.) in the HCP community on the importance of myopia management.
  • Work closely with local Marketing to establish a local Myopia Management Toolkit, PR campaign and additional resources required locally to support parents and HCP’s with Myopia Management.
  • Educate clinic staff for MiSight with the local Professional Affiar team. PA will lead the certification process with support and leads generated via the MDM.
  • Be the primary and lead contact for customers in their implementation of a myopia management system and set up of their business structure to support.
  • Share best practices for CooperVision myopia management products success to both internal and external partners to aid in future market development.
  • Collect and act upon information about competitive products in the marketplace.
  • Builds, maintains, and leads strong relationships with other members of the CV team, sales support and commercial management teams to gain their support in executing customer objectives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional Services experience with KOL engagement and building advocacy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Is well read and has a thorough understanding of myopia management in the practice, the competitive set and the myopia management market.
  • Enthusiastic, engaged and supportive of all CVI initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Use of all Microsoft office suite of tools as well as CVI CRM solution at intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to make high-level presentations to various sized customer groups

Experience:

  • Prefer about + 5 years ophthalmology or medical device experience
  • Experience in myopia management is plus
  • Demonstrated experience in training and roles where the influence of others was required
  • Has demonstrated a leadership role in prior positions
  • Demonstrated skills in customer business development and plan implementation
  • Experience working in ophthalmology or optometry, medical and pharmaceutical industry will be added advantage Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree. Background in the medical engineering/life sciences field is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Consideration given to candidates with strong sales experience and track record of results
  • Fluency in the English language is preferred but not mandatory
