About the role and team

Sales at Uber means navigating ambiguity, earning trust fast, and solving problems that don’t come with a script. As a member of our Community Operations Business Development team, you won’t just be pushing a product; you’ll be building long-term partnerships in a high-stakes, fast-changing environment. This role is about revenue generation through real-world impact, requiring you to bridge the gap between our services and the unique needs of our clients.

The pace here is intense, and the reality is often messy. You will be expected to take full ownership of your pipeline, staying resilient through tough conversations and the inevitable "no" while moving with urgency to close deals. We are looking for resourceful, target-driven individuals who are energized by challenge and can turn complex business hurdles into clear value propositions for our partners. If you are motivated by high-velocity work and the chance to shape how businesses interact with Uber, this is where you’ll grow.

What you’ll do

  • Build and grow long-term partnerships by uncovering the specific business challenges of your prospects and highlighting Uber’s value proposition.
  • Navigate the end-to-end sales lifecycle—from lead generation and prospecting to onboarding and long-term relationship management.
  • Manage your pipeline with discipline and urgency, meeting or exceeding revenue generation goals while handling shifting priorities.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently across various mediums, ensuring clients feel heard and supported through every stage of the deal.
  • Identify and share sales best practices, contributing to the evolution of our team’s playbook in a rapidly changing market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve blockers, navigate internal complexity, and deliver scalable solutions for your clients.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience working in a Sales or B2B environment within a fast-paced company.
  • Proven ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks while managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience making logical, data-driven decisions in a target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a Sales or B2B environment within a high-growth technical company.
  • Exceptional systems thinking skills with a knack for identifying efficiency gaps in the sales funnel.
  • Proven resilience in navigating tough negotiations and overcoming difficult client objections.
  • Strong adaptability with a track record of thriving through constant change and imperfect information.

Ready to Ride?

This isn't the kind of place where you follow a playbook — it's where you help write one. If you're driven by impact, energized by challenge, and ready to shape how the world moves — we'd love to hear from you.

You may be eligible for bonuses, equity, and other compensation, as well as a range of benefits. Explore our benefits.

Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in-office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full-time in-office presence. Ask your Recruiter for details about this role's requirements.

About Uber

We are Uber. The go-getters. The kind of people who are relentless about our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything and earn their way. Movement is what we power. It’s our lifeblood. It runs through our veins. It’s what gets us out of bed each morning. It pushes us to constantly reimagine how we can move better. For you. For all the places you want to go. For all the things you want to get. For all the ways you want to earn. Across the entire world. In real time. At the incredible speed of now.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then our DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on. We’ve grown into a global platform powering flexible earnings and the movement of people and things in ever expanding ways. We’ve gone from connecting rides on 4 wheels to 2 wheels to 18-wheel freight deliveries. From takeout meals to daily essentials to prescription drugs to just about anything you need at any time and earning your way. From drivers with background checks to real-time verification, safety is a top priority every single day. At Uber, the pursuit of reimagination is never finished, never stops, and is always just beginning.
