MA’AN Development
Centre in partnership with UNDP is implementing the project entitled “
Inclusive Support to Civil Society
Organizations in the Gaza Strip with a Focus on Women
”,
which aims to
strengthen the social, economic, and
emotional resilience of conflict-affected women and youth in Gaza by providing
practical skills, psychosocial support, and access to small-scale
income-generating activities within a gender-transformative and protection-sensitive
framework.
To achieve this, this project shall work on
two parallels streams:

Supporting vulnerable women facing compounded vulnerabilities stemming
from prolonged crisis, economic hardship, and restrictive gender norms limiting
mobility, decision-making, and access to resources; who are in need of basic
sustainable livelihood and income generation streams,
·
Supporting women leaders of MSMEs and productive activities who have
lost their livelihood due to the prolonged war.
·
Providing psychosocial support and protection capacity building for
women and youth deployed in CSOs, by strengthening emotional well-being,
workplace safety, and institutional accountability through mental health
services, trauma-informed counseling, and training on the prevention of sexual
exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
In the
context above, MA’AN Development Centre is seeking to recruit a qualified
professional to fill the following vacancy:
The
business Development Specialist will be in charge of:

Designing
and customizing the business assessment tools and other relevant tools.
-
Conducting
business assessments for potential MSMEs.
-
Conducting
regular field follow- up visits for the targeted MSMEs.
-
Supporting
in designing and following up the support plans for MSMEs.
-
Supporting
the implementation of the MSMEs’ business development plans.
-
Working
with the project’s trainers
to
facilitate different
trainings to
targeted MSMEs .
-
Participating
in developing the ToRs for the different consultancy assignments through
supporting desk research and data collection.
-
Working
with the project’s consultants and advisors to facilitate project activities
like business needs assessment, livelihood mapping, bill of quantities, etc.
-
Ensuring
the accountable provision of the support package to the targeted MSMEs.
-
Working
closely and in full harmony with the project management and technical team to
ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the project beneficiaries and
building unique business models.
-
Cooperate
with MA’AN M&E department to ensure proper implementation of the
project-related monitoring and evaluation activities through data collection
and documentation;
-
Developing
success stories, case studies and lessons learned in both English and Arabic
-
Developing
progress and final narrative reports.

Minimum
Bachelor Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration or any
relevant field (Master’s degree is a plus).
-
At least 6
years of experience in the field of economic empowerment and resilience,
particularly in developing business plans and providing business development
services to SMEs.
-
Proven
experience in working with vulnerable households in the Gaza Strip and broad
knowledge of livelihood sources.

Deep
understanding and strong knowledge of economic empowerment principles &
models and local market requirements and constraints.
-
Highly
organized, reliable attention to detail, and ability to work independently when
needed.
-
Excellent
communication skills and interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and
maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and donors.

Ability to
work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and multi-task.
-
MS Office
literacy (especially Word and Excel);
-
Fluency in both English & Arabic languages
including both written and verbal communication skills.
