BRIEF COMPANY DESCRIPTION: The Matworks is a comprehensive flooring provider to major retailers and markets across North America. Our mission statement is to provide solution-based products designed to help minimize risk, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance the appearance of each facility. We do this by partnering with our national customers to develop turnkey solutions for their facilities across the country.

TITLE OF THE JOB: The Matworks is seeking someone to serve as the Business Development

SALARY RANGE: 60-80k, Based on experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates will have two-to-five-years of professional work history (preferred, not required), Bachelor’s Degree required, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail and task-oriented, and possess creative problem-solving skills. Applicants should have a good attitude, the flexibility to juggle multiple tasks, and comprehend at a rapid pace. We are seeking a team player with strong computer skills working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), who is highly motivated, has a strong work ethic, a sense of urgency, and is a self-starter. Sales experience in the flooring or textile industry preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Identify and pursue untapped verticals, accounts, and geographies to drive year-over-year revenue growth for the overall business.
  • Coordinate current programs to ensure efficiency in product delivery and meeting specifications required.
  • Develop processes to support customers within certain portals for improvements to be made in team operations.
  • Support pricing request and adjustments with accounts as they are needed to be made, in order for all parties to have updated costing in place.
  • Manage communications with team members from varying departments to best support the customers.
  • Manage and grow relationships with national accounts where applicable, serving as the primary point of contact across multiple stakeholders to expand MatWorks' product footprint within each account.

SCHEDULED WORKING HOURS: Standard office hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm); however, work outside of normal hours will be required.

TRAVEL: 20-30 business days per year.

The late Emmett Hart established Mountville Mills in 1963 in a small building just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Hart worked at Callaway Mills for 15 years in the design and development departments before starting his own company with the encouragement of his wife, Nancy.
