Business Development Representive

• Engage in a consultative, relationship-driven proactive sales process to focus on 20-30 prospects/accounts and be accountable to drive aggressive sales goals; Define and execute engagement strategies and tactics with the support and mentorship of the Regional BD Director; Identify and build credible relationships from the engineering level to C-level personnel required to rapidly progress the sales cycle from sensor test/evaluation stage to POC and or small field test deployments with Hesai sensors.
• Assists in the development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
• Qualify incoming leads for the North America Region collected or generated from Hesai’s corporate website, tradeshows, and various Marketing campaigns.
• Use Hesai North America’s CRM as the database management tool to maintain all customers and contacts information as well as track and log all activities from emails, calls, to revenue forecast including products and deliverable due date.
• Manage a short list of existing customers and responsible for the development of proactive sales engagement strategies, co-marketing support programs and tactics to increase sensor revenue quarter over quarter.
• Coordinate and provide logistics support to Hesai’s Digital/Event Marketing team for NAM tradeshows and industry conferences. Attend trade shows to engage with potential and targeted prospects including strengthening relationships with existing customers.
• Identify new customer/prospect requirements and communicate to product management, industry manager/product marketing, and engineering teams. Be highly responsive to customer needs and work cross-functionally internally to satisfy customer and grow relationships and maintain internal reporting/forecasting for business operations and finance teams.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• High technical and proficient with all aspects of LiDAR sensors and complementary sensors, LiDAR technical approaches, various real world use cases from autonomous vehicles to smart infrastructure, to 3D digital imaging survey / mapping.
• Track record for exceeding sales targets, business development goals, account management goals, or successful customer related projects.
• Curious/Analytical: Able to be the customer. Understand how they think, what they want and why in both technical and business needs to offer preemptive solutions before the customers encounter such potential barriers.
• Resourceful/Out of the Box Thinking: Creative about ways to get the job done efficiently and effectively.
• Hungry/Results Oriented: Hard worker, highly motivated to learn, plan, execute, deliver and be accountable for results.
• Organized/Diligent: Follow up regularly and maintain momentum with counterparties. Equip yourself with all required documents, demo tools, internal sales process, and communication methods to gain credibility with the audience.

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an engineering field.
• 2-5 years of technical sales, account management, and/or business development experience.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in LiDAR technology, LiDAR technical approaches, LiDAR technology trends, and LiDAR product SWOT.
• Proven track records of meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets or successful completion of external customer programs/deployment projects.
