Business Development Representative, Principal

As a Principal Business Development Representative you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and qualifying prospects to help drive the sales pipeline. This is a key role within the sales organization, focused on building strong relationships with prospective customers and introducing them to Infor’s solutions.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • To prospect and identify new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and social media channels.
  • To conduct research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to ensure targeted outreach and positioning.
  • To qualify inbound leads and identify sales opportunities by understanding prospect pain points and how Infor’s solutions can solve them.
  • To work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to align on strategy, messaging, and lead nurturing efforts.
  • To maintain and update accurate customer information and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • To assist the sales team with ad hoc tasks as needed and contribute to the overall success of the sales department.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a business development role.
  • Experience working in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in prospecting activities.
  • Enterprise software or technology company experience.
  • Presentation experience with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with sales team to help implement sales strategies.
  • Hands-on proficiency with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and sales-engagement tools such as Outreach, Salesloft, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Working knowledge of ERP or industry cloud solutions, ideally within one of Infor's core verticals.
  • A consistent track record of meeting or exceeding opportunity-generation targets.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior BDRs.
