Job Description

Business Development Representative - London

NORNORM is a fast-growing circular scale-up redefining the workspace industry through a subscription model that's better for people, businesses, and the planet.

As we expand in the UK, we're looking for ambitious Business Development Representatives who want to learn how business really happens: through conversations, trust, and long-term relationships.

Your days will be varied: prospecting and outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn, but also getting out to meet prospects and partners, pitching NORNORM in person, and representing us at events.

What you're really building along the way is a skillset most people never fully master:

  • Starting high-quality conversations with people you've never met

  • Turning "not interested" into "let's talk"

  • Building relationships with landlords, flex operators, brokers and workplace consultants

  • Creating opportunities that turn into real partnerships and long-term clients

  • Building a commercial network that will follow you throughout your career

Success in this role means building a strong pipeline of qualified meetings, creating new commercial relationships, closing opportunities and helping NORNORM become better known across the UK workspace market.

This is not a desk-only BDR role. You’ll be expected to build relationships both digitally and in person across the UK workspace ecosystem.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify, research, and engage target prospects across landlords, flex operators, workplace consultants, brokers, and occupiers

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria, including company fit, timing, and commercial potential

  • Book high-quality discovery meetings, running them yourself or joining alongside sales and partnerships, prepared with clear context and account notes

  • Own your pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting to a booked meeting, and join client meetings yourself where relevant

  • Get out and meet prospects and partners face to face, whether that's a coffee, a site visit, or an industry event

  • Pitch and present NORNORM's value proposition confidently, both one-on-one and in front of a room

  • Maintain accurate CRM data, including contacts, activities, and pipeline status

  • Work closely with partnerships, marketing, and customer-facing teams to share market feedback and insight

  • Represent NORNORM at events and industry networking opportunities, turning conversations into qualified commercial opportunities

Is this role for you?

You've finished your education and are ready to put it to use. We imagine that you are:

  • A graduate with some commercial or customer-facing experience, ideally outbound, sales, recruitment, real estate, flex, or SaaS

  • Coming from a customer-facing, service-oriented, or performance-driven background, where you've learned how to read people and build rapport

  • Ambitious, curious, and interested in a future within business development, partnerships, or commercial roles

  • Comfortable starting conversations by phone, email, LinkedIn, over coffee, or at industry events

  • Energised by opening doors, creating momentum, and turning conversations into qualified commercial opportunities

  • Driven by the thrill of the chase - you have a natural hunter mindset and a genuine "always be closing" mentality

What we're looking for

  • A proactive, commercial mindset - you enjoy identifying opportunities, opening conversations, and moving prospects towards a clear next step

  • Ambitious, curious, and a fast learner

  • Confident speaking with new people and able to build trust quickly

  • Proactive - you don't wait for opportunities, you create them

  • Structured and consistent in your follow-up

  • Thrives in a performance-driven environment

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and keeping data clean (Pipedrive, HubSpot, or Salesforce experience is a plus)

  • Fluent, confident English, written and spoken

We value flexibility, but please note that this is an office-first role with an expectation of being on-site at least four days per week in London.

Why join NORNORM?

Most of all because this job is a career accelerator. But also:

  • Extensive personal and professional development opportunities

  • A high-trust culture where initiative is rewarded

  • The chance to collaborate with - and occasionally travel to - colleagues across Europe (offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Stockholm)

  • We're building something that genuinely makes an impact

Essentially, joining NORNORM means being part of something bigger: scaling circularity across the workspace industry while growing in an environment that values curiosity, courage, and collaboration.

A note on your application

We run a structured recruitment process and review all candidates based on their application. You don't need a flawless CV or a perfectly polished application. We value authenticity and would much rather hear your own voice than something overly scripted.

Please apply via the application form and include a short cover letter outlining your motivation for the role.

If you have any practical questions about the role or the process, you are welcome to contact our external recruiter, Christos Voglis, who is supporting us in this hiring process: christos.voglis@conpassio.com
