Job Description
At BioRender, we’re on a mission to accelerate the world’s ability to learn, discover, and communicate science — transforming how knowledge is shared and making science open, collaborative, and easily understandable by all.
We’re shaping the future of science communication and are looking for talented individuals to help bring this vision to life!
As an Inbound Business Development Representative, you'll own one of our highest-converting and fastest-growing sources of pipeline: inbound leads from marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), in-product hand-raisers, pricing inquiries, and other high-intent inbound channels. You'll be the first point of contact for prospects who are already raising their hand - qualifying them for scientific and business fit and handing off sales-ready opportunities to our Account Executives.
You'll act as the connective tissue between Marketing and Sales: acting fast on high-intent signals, qualifying leads by phone and email, and building the habits, skills, and track record that set you up to grow into an Account Executive role over time. We'll give you the coaching, tooling, and focus to be successful and to build a career in sales at BioRender.
Location:
This is a remote position open to candidates based in Canada (CST or EST time zones) and in the following U.S. metro areas: Boston, the DMV area, Raleigh–Durham, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Austin, and Pittsburgh.
What you bring to the table
- Strong self-motivation and a quota-driven mindset - you want a career in sales!
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized, with the discipline to manage a high volume of inbound leads across multiple sources without letting anything slip
- Ability to learn new tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Zendesk and more!
- A collaborative, relationship-building style. Your success depends on strong day-to-day coordination with your account team
- Committed to meeting/exceeding goals
- Work during EST business hours
You will be successful in this role with:
- A self-starter, quota-driven mindset: Even though this is a fully inbound motion, you bring hustle and accountability to a qualified-pipeline and revenue number every quarter.
- Speed and follow-through: Inbound leads go cold fast. You act quickly on new leads and don't let anything sit unqualified.
- Exceptional customer empathy: You genuinely want to understand why someone reached out — whether through a pricing question, an in-product request, or a support inquiry — and can quickly tell a real sales signal from routine noise.
- Strong organization and attention to detail: You can track a high volume of leads across multiple inbound sources while keeping accurate records and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- A continuous improvement approach: You have a growth mindset, welcome coaching, and want to help refine the routing rules and qualification criteria as this program scales.
What you'll be doing
- Own qualification and conversion of inbound leads from multiple sources (MQLs, in-product hand-raisers, pricing inquiries, and re-engagement leads)
- Follow up on inbound requests, qualify customer needs via phone and email, and deliver high-quality, sales-ready opportunities to your AE partners to progress through the sales cycle
- Organize, categorize, and prioritize leads in CRM, and track conversion and performance against a quarterly qualified-pipeline and revenue quota
- Partner closely with Marketing and Sales on routing criteria, hand-off timing, and the overall health of the inbound lead pipeline
- Contribute to ongoing process and automation improvements that help the team generate and convert leads more efficiently as inbound volume scales
- Report regularly to BD leadership on lead source performance, conversion rates, pipeline generated, and revenue
Bonus
- A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent is a plus (e.g. within the fields of life science, including biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, etc.)
- Prior experience in Business Development, ideally within a SaaS or B2B environment
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce (or a similar platform)
- Strong working knowledge of ZoomInfo or similar tools for researching companies and finding the right contacts
Why join us?

- BioRender is loved by millions: We have a world-class NPS and a community of loyal fans and users in 200+ countries!
