We are seeking a Business Development Representative to help us build and grow our marketing and relationship development program.

This is a unique opportunity. We are not looking for someone to simply fill a role. We are looking for someone who wants to help create it.

As a new position within our company, this role will be a collaborative effort between leadership and the successful candidate. We are looking for an individual who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, solving problems, and helping businesses grow.

Part-time and full-time applicants will be considered.

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships throughout the insurance and property restoration industries.

You will spend your time making outbound calls, scheduling appointments, conducting face-to-face visits, attending networking opportunities, maintaining referral relationships, and identifying new opportunities for company growth.

You will work closely with company leadership to develop strategies, track results, and continuously improve our marketing efforts.

This position will begin as an hourly role, with the goal to transition into a salaried position with performance-based compensation after approximately 90 days.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this position means:

• Building strong relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, property managers, contractors, plumbers, and other referral sources
• Generating qualified opportunities for our mitigation and reconstruction teams
• Strengthening existing TPA and insurance carrier relationships
• Consistently scheduling meetings and marketing visits
• Tracking activities, opportunities, and follow-ups within our CRM
• Representing Paul Davis Restoration professionally within the community
• Helping build a repeatable marketing system that contributes to long-term company growth

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to prospective referral partners
• Schedule and perform in-person marketing visits
• Develop and maintain relationships with insurance agents
• Develop and maintain relationships with insurance adjusters
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, plumbers, tradesmen, and property managers
• Maintain relationships with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and national accounts
• Attend networking events, trade functions, and community events
• Utilize CRM software to document activities, opportunities, follow-ups, and relationship development efforts
• Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure excellent service delivery
• Assist leadership in developing marketing strategies and growth initiatives
• Represent yourself and the company with professionalism and integrity
• Help establish best practices for this growing department

Qualifications and Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, professional, and personable demeanor
• Strong organizational abilities
• Comfortable making outbound phone calls
• Comfortable meeting new people and building relationships
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow up consistently
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Orange, Rockland, and Sussex Counties
• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver’s license (NYS Class D or equivalent)
• Undergo evaluations completed in compliance with federal, state & local laws
• Motor vehicle record search
• Drug and alcohol testing
• Consumer investigative report

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sales, business development, marketing, customer service, insurance, construction, restoration, or a related industry
• CRM experience
• Existing insurance or contractor relationships
• Networking or community involvement experience

Compensation: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
