About the Role

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to join our fast-growing sales team. You'll report to the Director of Sales and own the front of our pipeline.

This is not a list-and-blast role. Thousands of companies are already inside our product — teams who signed up, built something, and never spoke to us. Your first job is to find the ones with a real support problem and get them in front of an Account Executive. Your second is to go after the accounts we want that haven't found us yet.

You'll be the first human contact many prospects have with Botpress, so your ability to understand a support team's problem and communicate our value will shape the entire sales experience.

We're hiring this role as the next Account Executive on our floor. If you perform, the path is clear — and we'll be direct with you about what it takes to walk it.

Responsibilities

• Prospect into named target accounts across email, phone, and LinkedIn, with research that earns the reply.
• Mine our existing sign-ups, product usage, and dormant leads to surface teams with a real support problem — the highest-intent pipeline we have is already in the building.
• Run first conversations that get to the business problem underneath the request — ticket volume, response times, cost per resolution — rather than a feature checklist.
• Qualify and hand off meetings to Account Executives with enough context that the next call starts in the right place.
• Consistently analyze and report on your activity, pipeline, and conversion using our CRM.
• Feed what you hear back to marketing, product, and engineering — you'll hear the market's objections before anyone else does.
• Test, measure, and improve your own messaging. We'd rather you run experiments than wait for a playbook.

Requirements

• 2–3 years in a BDR, SDR, or full-cycle sales role at a B2B SaaS company, with a track record of hitting a meeting or pipeline number
• Evidence you've self-sourced pipeline, not just worked handed leads
• Curious, driven, and excited about working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup
• Comfortable speaking with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
• Able to clearly communicate value and tailor messaging to different industries
• Organized, self-motivated, and persistent, with strong follow-up skills
• Comfortable operating without heavy process — you help build the motion as you go
• This role covers our core North American market. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
