Role and Responsibilities:

PCM Artificial Lift Solutions (“PCM ALS”) is a global leader in surface and downhole Progressive Cavity Pumping (“PCP”) equipment. The company is headquartered in France with established locations in over 35 countries across the globe and has been in business for 95+ years. The second largest entity of the company is the Canadian business unit with a top tier presence in downhole PCP related equipment. The Canadian group has a strong network of Branches located in key areas in western Canada in order to provide top quality service to its PCP and surface pumping customers. The Canadian group also relies on the considerable technical and application experience within our European manufacturing and technical team. In addition to pumps and accessories, the company manufactures its own line of Drive heads, designs and assembles surface power packages and has the ability to do custom surface equipment packaging for other related applications. The Business Development Representative is based in Calgary and is a key role for the company. They are responsible for growing revenue in all aspects of the Artificial Lift business with a high level of industry experience, diverse knowledge of customers and considerable application knowledge of PCP systems. The ideal candidate has strong existing customer relationships and a detailed knowledge of customer operations and industry requirements. They will have a proven track record in the PCP business and have the stature and reputation to bring enhanced credibility to PCM in the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities and functions:

-Responsible for Sales and Business Development Functions for the PCP market for PCM ALS in an assigned territory.

-Have a proven ability to do business with a range of customers from small to large and be able to adapt their style to working with each in the most effective way.

-Develop proposals and quotes based upon client needs, specifications, and product offerings both independently and in conjunction with Inside applications support teams in Canada and Europe. Must have multiple years’ experience in the sizing and application of PC pumps in heavy and light oil applications. Knowledge of thermal applications would be considered an asset.

-Ability to understand and grow sales margin and ensure that PCM gets the best possible financial return while at the same time growing market share.

-Support and conduct high level sales presentations for clients and internal stakeholders, coordinate, manage & implement customer agreements with pre-approved terms and conditions.

-Review and interpret commercial terms and contracts – negotiate appropriate language and terms to manage PCM ALS’s commercial risk.

-Understand and facilitate technical support and aftermarket assistance between the sales team, the operations team and product line managers.

-Responsible to maintain strong internal relationships and act as a team member, coach and advisor.

-Complete sales reporting and forecasts as required by management.

-Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times.

Candidate Qualifications:

-A University Degree or Diploma in a related field is considered an asset – preference given to Engineering or Technically educated candidates - others with long-term product and industry experience may be considered in absence of a formal education.

-10+ years’ experience in the application, sale and/or support of PCP and related equipment for downhole heavy oil production.

-Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with small, medium and large oil production companies.

-Experience with other forms of artificial lift technologies would also be considered beneficial – ESP, Beam, Rod, Gas lift etc.

Compensation

An industry competitive compensation plan comprised of both a base salary and an attractive commission/bonus program. Alberta Blue Cross benefits, RRSP matching program and a company vehicle are also included in the compensation package.

Candidates currently located outside of Canada may be considered – there is no relocation assistance provided.
