Business Development Representative
To create and maintain local food service business according to established company guidelines to increase company sales and profits.
Essential Functions
• Sell equipment, products and promotions to new and existing customers to satisfy customers’ needs.
• Works in conjunction with customers to identify opportunities to increase the sales and profitability of the company through proper use of equipment, products, sales contracts, communication of price/value, and securing additional space at the retailer’s location.
• Completes and maintains proper paperwork (e.g. Equipment Move Orders, contracts, credit applications, ROI analysis).
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information, customer contracts, pricing, return on investments, payments, and other sensitive and confidential information.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers on issues regarding installations, pricing, products, promotions or problems that arise at the retailer’s location to ensure resolution to customer service issues.
• Understands, prepares and monitors ROI's to maximize company sales and profitability.
Education
2 Year / associate degree in marketing, Sales Management or closely related field or equivalent work experience required. 4 Year / bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales Management or closely related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience
1 - 3 years of marketing or sales experience with a consumer product line.
Computer Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Certifications & Licenses
Valid Driver's License: employees must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.
Other Requirements
Knowledge of beverage industry; standard selling practices; G&J Pepsi-Cola departmental structure and product line; vending machines, coolers, refrigerators, fountain and other equipment; pricing structures; marketing; promotions; Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in: internal and external customer service. Ability to: accurately measure areas using a tape measure; multi-task; work quickly, efficiently and independently; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; anticipate and satisfy customer's needs; develop and maintain good working relationships; adapt to change; operate a forklift, motorized pallet jack, walkie rider, computer; delegate; problem solve; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
