Job Description

Business Development Representative

Full-time | Hybrid | Sydney or Melbourne

Why JET Charge?

JET Charge is helping lead one of the most significant shifts in energy and transport in a generation.

Our mission is clear: to provide EV charging at no cost, with no emissions. We’re building Australia’s electrified future by developing the infrastructure and technology that makes clean transport more accessible through innovation in charging, grid, and energy management systems.

As Australia’s leading EV charging company, we work across the infrastructure, software, and technical delivery that sit behind complex commercial charging projects. This is an opportunity to join a business shaping how EV charging will be designed into commercial buildings and projects in the years ahead.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you’ll generate new EV charging opportunities by building relationships with developers, consultants, and embedded network operators.

Working at the top of the funnel, and you’ll identify and qualify opportunities early, shape customer thinking, and build a strong pipeline for Senior Sales Managers to convert.

You’ll do well in this role if you’re proactive, commercially astute, comfortable in technical conversations, and good at building credibility quickly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build relationships with developers, consultants, and embedded network operators involved in EV charging projects.
  • Generate and qualify early-stage opportunities across priority sectors.
  • Educate customers and consultants on EV charging solutions, commercial models, and key trade-offs.
  • Match JET Charge’s solutions to customer needs across SaaS, hardware, and hybrid models.
  • Prepare clear, structured handovers to Senior Sales Managers.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and pipeline activity well managed.
  • Share market feedback to improve JET Charge’s positioning and sales effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in business development, technical sales, consulting, infrastructure, property, or a related commercial role.
  • Confidence building relationships and opening opportunities with external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to qualify opportunities early.
  • Clear communication across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A structured, disciplined approach to follow-up, pipeline management, and handover.
  • Comfort working in a changing market and navigating technical-commercial trade-offs.
  • Experience in EV charging, embedded networks, engineering consulting, or infrastructure will be highly regarded.

Our Commitment to You

At JET Charge, we believe our culture is our competitive advantage — diverse, determined, and fearless. We invest in our people and provide:

✔ Flexible working arrangements
✔ Tailored career development opportunities
✔ EV charging benefits

This is an opportunity to help shape how EV charging is understood, specified, and adopted across the next generation of developments and infrastructure projects in Australia.

If this sounds like you, apply now.

To apply, please submit your CV. This role is full-time and can be based in Melbourne or Sydney with a hybrid work arrangement. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with unlimited working rights.
