Job Description
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive company growth. This role focuses on prospecting, building relationships, and generating qualified leads to support the sales pipeline. The BDR works closely with sales and operations teams to understand client needs and position solutions effectively.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients, markets, and business opportunities
- Generate new leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking, and referrals
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to determine fit and readiness
- Schedule meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to sales or account management teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Track and manage activities, leads, and pipeline in CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with company goals
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity
- Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
- 1–3+ years of experience in sales, recruiting, or business development
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
