Position

BinaryLogic is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth in the Alberta market. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and qualifying leads for the Managing Director – Sales. The BDR plays a critical role in the early stages of the sales cycle, helping create a predictable pipeline of high-quality opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking events, and other channels.
  • Research and identify potential clients that align with BinaryLogic's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Execute structured outreach sequences and nurture cold and warm leads.
  • Book qualified discovery meetings for the Managing Director – Sales.

Qualification & Pipeline Development

  • Qualify leads based on needs, budget, business fit, and technical alignment.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all prospecting activities, notes, and follow-ups are documented.
  • Support pipeline growth by generating consistent Sales Accepted Leads (SALs).
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success Manager (CSM) to leverage warm referrals and client insights.

Collaboration Across Teams

  • Work with the Managing Director – Sales to refine messaging, vertical targeting, and outreach strategies.
  • Coordinate with technical teams when qualification requires technical validation.
  • Align with marketing on outbound campaigns and content that supports lead generation.
  • Support Marketing by providing feedback on campaign performance, lead quality, and market trends.

Brand Representation

  • Professionally represent BinaryLogic in the Alberta market.
  • Articulate BinaryLogic's value propositions across Managed Services, Microsoft 365/Azure, cybersecurity, business continuity, and cloud transformation.
  • Uphold BinaryLogic's reputation through respectful, ethical, and high-quality interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or related role with technology sales.
  • Strong outbound prospecting skills: phone, email, LinkedIn, and event networking.
  • Ability to quickly learn BinaryLogic's service offerings and communicate them effectively in early-stage conversations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, cybersecurity, or MSP environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (minimum 1 year required).
  • Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple outreach sequences simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence.
  • Post-secondary education in business, communications, or technology is preferred.

Performance Expectations

  • Meet monthly activity targets for outbound touches, meetings booked, and qualified leads.
  • Maintain 95% CRM data completeness and accurate pipeline tracking.
  • Support quarterly goals for new pipeline contribution and new logo acquisition.
  • Uphold brand reputation through professional, ethical, and high-quality interactions.
