About the Role


We’re looking for an experienced Sales professional to join our growing Business Development team at Unit21. Our platform provides an unparalleled level of flexibility to help organizations detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and other financial crimes through AI-powered, no-code infrastructure.


We're seeking Business Development Representatives who embrace AI as a force multiplier and are excited to help define the future of outbound sales. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills, curiosity, and grit with a modern, AI-first approach to research, prospecting, personalization, and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing:


  • Partner with the BDR Manager and Account Executives to identify target accounts, develop account strategies, and generate qualified pipeline.


  • Use AI-powered research tools alongside LinkedIn Sales Navigator and sales intelligence platforms to identify buying signals, key stakeholders, and high-value opportunities.


  • Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms to accelerate prospect research, account planning, outreach personalization, objection preparation, and meeting preparation.


  • Create highly personalized outbound emails, LinkedIn messages, and call strategies that combine AI-assisted efficiency with authentic human communication.


  • Utilize sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo.io), sales intelligence tools (ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, Seamless), Salesforce CRM, and other modern sales technologies.


  • Continuously test, measure, and optimize outbound messaging, prospecting strategies, and AI workflows to improve conversion rates.


  • Share insights, successful prompts, and AI best practices across the Business Development organization to improve team performance.


  • Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to provide customer feedback and continuously improve messaging and campaigns.


  • Become an expert in Unit21's platform, customers, market, and the evolving AI landscape impacting financial services.


What we're looking for:


  • 1+ years of Business Development, SDR, BDR, or similar outbound sales experience.


  • Proven ability and track record prospecting into new accounts.


  • Proven record of consistently overachieving quota.


  • Experience with solution-based selling.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.


  • Strong curiosity, resilience, and a continuous learning mindset.


  • Comfortable learning technical products and communicating business value.


  • Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) as part of your daily workflow to improve prospect research, account planning, writing, organization, and productivity.


  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output and apply sound judgment before sharing customer-facing communications.


  • Demonstrated curiosity around emerging AI technologies and enthusiasm for continuously improving workflows through AI.


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.


Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications)


  • Experience selling SaaS, AI, fintech, fraud prevention, AML, compliance, cybersecurity, or financial infrastructure solutions.


  • Experience working successfully within an early-stage startup.


  • Familiarity with Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, Salesforce, and other modern sales technologies.


  • Experience creating repeatable outbound processes or experimenting with AI-assisted sales workflows.


  • Existing relationships within financial services, fintech, banking, payments, or crypto.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.


Compensation


Base salary range:

$68,000–$70,000 annually

, plus uncapped variable compensation.
