Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Representative

Our client is a dominant player in the trucking equipment industry, known for providing high-quality products and services. They offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401k match. The company is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will service the territory from Sacramento, CA to Portland, OR, with potential clients along the I-5 corridor. This role involves identifying and creating new opportunities to expand the company's market share and increase revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the truck equipment industry.
  • Conduct sales presentations and consultations to potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to meet sales goals.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s truck equipment products and services.
  • Lead contract negotiations and close sales deals promptly and professionally.
  • Use CRM software to track leads, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate records of sales activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in relationship sales with an emphasis on business development, sales, or account management.
  • Strong understanding of the trucking industry, including trends, challenges, and key players.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills; ability to build rapport and close deals.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on understanding client needs.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and explore new business opportunities.
