Job Description

We're looking for a fearless communicator someone who can confidently engage with Japanese corporates, open new doors, and help us expand our partnership network across Japan. As our Business Development & Partnerships Associate, you'll act as our local liaison, representing our brand and connecting us with potential partners. You'll support relationship-building, follow up on opportunities, and help bridge communication between Japan and our regional teams. This role suits someone who is naturally proactive, enjoys meeting people, and thrives in both Japanese and international business settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and engage potential corporate and institutional partners in Japan.
• Represent the company confidently in meetings, calls, and written communication.
• Support partnership discussions, follow-ups, and documentation.
• Provide local insights, cultural guidance, and operational support to international teams.
• Coordinate with regional stakeholders to localize go-to-market and engagement strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and business progress.

What Were Looking For

• Japanese native speaker with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English (able to communicate clearly with regional teams).
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, Communications, or related fields.
• Confident, proactive, and comfortable reaching out to new contacts and senior executives.
• Culturally agile able to bridge Japanese and international work styles effectively.
• Open to management trainees or early-career professionals with strong potential.

Nice to Have

• Experience in startups, SaaS, or corporate partnership roles.
• Familiarity with outbound prospecting or SDR-style engagement.
• Existing professional network or understanding of the Japanese corporate landscape.
