Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

Identify and Evaluate Partnership Opportunities: Research and identify potential strategic partners, including technology providers, content creators, and digital services. This is done by conducting thorough market analysis and competitor landscaping to align with Maxis' business development goals and market expansion strategies.

Develop and Present Partnership Proposals: Create compelling business cases and partnership proposals outlining value propositions, financial models, and operational frameworks. This involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure proposals are comprehensive, commercially viable, and aligned with Maxis' strategic objectives.

Negotiate and Structure Agreements: Lead negotiations with prospective partners on commercial terms, legal agreements, and operational specifics. This ensures that all partnerships are structured to be mutually beneficial, legally sound, and deliver maximum value to Maxis, adhering to company policies and risk management guidelines.

Manage and Nurture Partner Relationships Act as the primary point of contact for key partners, fostering strong, long-term relationships and ensuring ongoing collaboration. This involves regular communication, performance reviews, and proactive issue resolution to maximize partner engagement and satisfaction.

Monitor Partnership Performance and ROI: Track and analyze the performance of existing partnerships against agreed-upon KPIs and business objectives. This is done by developing reporting mechanisms and conducting regular reviews to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and demonstrate return on investment.

Support Strategic Business Development Initiatives: Contribute to broader business development strategies, including market entry, product innovation, and ecosystem expansion. This involves providing insights from partnership activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive overall company growth.

Market Intelligence and Trend Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes relevant to Maxis' business and partnership ecosystem. This provides strategic insights to inform future business development opportunities and maintain Maxis' competitive edge.

Formal Education

To include any specialised education needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus

Work Experience

Clarify Total Work Experience and Relevant Work Experience required

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related commercial role, preferably within the tech or telco industry.

Established in 1961, Malayan Flour Mills Berhad (MFM) is the pioneer in the flour milling industry in Malaysia. MFM has grown to become the leading flour miller in Malaysia with regional presence in Vietnam and Indonesia. Over the years, we have expanded into poultry integration, aquaculture, and raw material trading. In FY21, the group revenue was RM2.43 billion.

MFM is one of the major poultry integrators in poultry feeds, breeding, farming with a state-of-the-art processing facility across the poultry value chain. Designed to meet the domestic and international markets, the advanced facility will process up to 300,000 birds per day.
