Job Description


Job Summary

The role of the Business Development Officer (Partnerships
Channel) is to support ICEA LION Asset Management’s (ILAM) retail growth
strategy by establishing and nurturing strong business partnerships in order to
drive sales. The job holder works closely with the partners to ensure they have
the necessary resources and support to effectively promote and sell our
products and services (i.e. unit trust funds, wealth management).

Roles and Responsibilities


·

Sales


1.

Promote and sell ILAM’s investment products through partners
and affinity groups to achieve the annual set target


2.

Discover new channel partners and assess their potential to
contribute to our sales objectives and market penetration.


3.

Identify, establish and sustain robust relationships with
partners and affinity groups.


4.

Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to
prospective and existing partners and affinity groups.


5.

Oversee partner agreements, ensure adherence and optimize
partner satisfaction and performance.


6.

Work with partners to create and execute joint marketing
initiatives to generate demand and boost sales.


7.

Train and assist partners to ensure they are knowledgeable about
our products or services and can effectively market and sell them.


8.

Evaluate and provide feedback on partner performance and
suggest areas for improvement.


9.

Stay up to date with industry developments, competitive
dynamics, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and potential
threats.


10.

Liaise with the teams in Research, Business Development,
Portfolio Managers and Client Service teams to identify opportunities to meet
clients’ requirements.


11.

Keep abreast with developments in local, regional and global
financial markets, investment products and opportunities to give appropriate
investment advice.


12.

Measure and provide reports on partner sales production vs
targets, partner operations and growth prospects within the required timeframe.

Client Service & Relationship Management


1.

Deliver personalized services in an effective and efficient
manner to partners and their clients in regards to their investments.


2.

Provide support for all client/partner engagement events and
initiatives e.g. e.g. investor and partner education, annual investment
conferences, client/partner appreciation events, corporate gifts etc.


3.

Ensure partner
requests and complaints are addressed within the shortest turnaround time.


4.

Act as a
relationship manager and ensure partners and their client base receive an
overall positive experience.

Product/Solution
Development


1.

Actively participate
in product innovation, development and review.


2.

Keep abreast with
the changing needs of the partners and periodically review existing products
and propositions.


Requirements

B2B partnerships

Proven success in managing channel partners
and meeting sales objectives.


Academic and Professional Experience.


·

At least 4 years’ experience in a sales role within the financial
services industry


·

Successful track record managing
partnership channels and meeting sales objectives


·

Bachelors’
degree in a Business or related discipline from an accredited University


Professional
qualification e.g. CISI is an added advantage
