Business Development Officer - Employment & Training | Southeast Queensland (Gold Coast / Ipswich / Brisbane Metro) | Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Officer to support the growth of our training and workforce programs across Southeast Queensland. This role has been created as part of our regional growth strategy and offers a structured pathway into Business Development. You will begin by supporting enrolment processes and program administration, gaining hands-on experience with systems, compliance and workflows.

During this time, you will also work alongside experienced Business Development professionals, building your capability in employer engagement and industry networking.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners and community organisations
  • Identify opportunities for training and workforce development programs
  • Promote training pathways and employment outcomes to employers and referral partners
  • Attend employer meetings, networking events and industry engagements
  • Support the development of employer networks across Southeast Queensland
  • Contribute to future program development and growth initiatives

Enrolment & Program Support

  • Follow up participant documentation and enrolment requirements
  • Upload and manage enrolment data within CRM systems (Zoho)
  • Coordinate LLN/LLND assessments and onboarding processes
  • Ensure all enrolments meet compliance and workflow requirements
  • Maintain intake registers and support program coordination
  • Assist with enrolment administration during program inductions

Pipeline Development

  • Begin building employer partnerships across the Southeast region
  • Support candidate referrals through employer and community networks
  • Work with the BD team to develop training pipelines and future opportunities

About You

You are a motivated, early-career professional looking to build a future in Business Development.

You will bring:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Confidence managing administrative processes and systems
  • Initiative, drive and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Interest in engaging with employers, industry and community partners
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in training, employment services or customer-facing roles is highly regarded but not essential.
