• Lead and develop the Singapore business for an established apparel manufacturer
• Manage both business development and end-to-end OEM merchandising

An established garment manufacturer and exporter based in Fuzhou, China, is looking for an entrepreneurial professional to develop and manage its Singapore business.

This role combines business development, customer management, and end-to-end apparel merchandising. The successful candidate should be self-driven, commercially minded, and comfortable operating independently with an owner's mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers in Singapore and international markets.
• Promote the company's apparel OEM manufacturing capabilities.
• Build strong relationships with brands, retailers, importers and buying offices.
• Prepare quotations, costing and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and order requirements.
• Manage orders from product development and sampling through production, quality control, shipment and payment.
• Coordinate closely with customers and the Fuzhou factory.
• Monitor sales, account profitability, and business performance.
• Manage the Singapore operation and build a team as the business grows.
• Take on broader Singapore and China management responsibilities in the future.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in apparel merchandising, garment manufacturing, sourcing or business development.
• Strong understanding of OEM/ODM garment production and costing.
• Proven ability to develop new customers and secure orders.
• Existing contacts with apparel brands, retailers, or buying offices would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Able to communicate in English and Mandarin to work with customers and the China factory.
• Independent, resourceful, and willing to travel when required.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and grow a business.
