We are now looking for a
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, UPLIFT & TICKET TAXES
whowillown and driveholistic development of uplift and passenger‑related tax processes, proactivelyidentifyingand implementing new development initiatives and revenue opportunities in line with Finnair’s strategy.
Additionally, you will ensure efficient and optimized processes and ways of working within your area of responsibility, while holding second‑level responsibility for quality control and providing guidance to the dedicated subcontractor team on tax‑related matters.Youwill alsoparticipateand contribute tothe transformation of the passenger revenue accounting function from a ticket/EMD‑based model to order‑based revenue accounting.
In this role, you will:
Own and develop uplift and ticket tax processes within the Revenue Accounting system
Ensureaccurate,timelyreporting, payment, compliance, audits, and master data maintenance for ticket taxes, and provide expert tax support across Finnair units.
Oversee uplift data accuracy and revenue recognition, support corrective actions,maintainmaster data, and provide uplift‑relatedexpertiseto the organization.
Actively share relevant information with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
Create,maintain, and update work instructions and ensure proper documentation, storage, and archiving.
Coordinate and implement necessary process and system changes.
Proactivelyidentify, evaluate, and drive development initiatives and revenue opportunities, acting as lead or subject‑matter expert in related projects.
Ensure impacts from changes in other business areas are considered and advise stakeholders on best practices, opportunities, and limitations.
From you, we wish:
Minimum 3 yearsofexperience in reservations, and/or passenger revenue accounting
In depth knowledge of business processes, indirect and direct distribution models and technologies that are shaping this area
Commercial experience and specialist knowledge in one of four areas: Passenger Revenue Accounting,Reservations,Payment,and/orDistribution
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions
Independentandpro-activeway of working.
Goal‑oriented and data‑driven approach to work
Strong drive for continuous improvement and development
Ability to make fact‑based, structured decisions in a fast‑paced and complex environment
Strongindustry knowledge withgoodexpertiseinreservation andorpassenger revenue accounting processes
Ability to understand, analyze, and act on multiple complex data sources; strong aptitude for business intelligence, analytics, and reporting, with excellent numerical skills
Strong project management capabilities, including planning and delivering initiatives using recognized project managementtechniques.
Ability totranslatecomplex details into clear, concise messages, actionable insights, and meaningful recommendations, adapting communication style to different audiencesand situations.
Strong writtenand verbalcommunication skills, including the ability to produce clear work instructions and professional presentations
System knowledge in relevant platforms such asAmadeus, revenue accounting and financial accounting systems, and Microsoft Office toolsis preferred.
Master’s or bachelor’sdegree from a relevant field.
