Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Telecom Business Development team. This is a remote position based in Pakistan, where the selected candidate will work from home while supporting the company's business development activities across the United Kingdom

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the telecom industry, supplier/vendor registration, UK procurement portals, lead generation, tender management, and client relationship management. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's presence in the UK market by securing supplier registrations, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register the company as an approved supplier with public and private sector organizations across the UK.
  • Manage supplier registrations and vendor onboarding through UK procurement portals, including SAP Ariba, Oracle, Achilles, Jaggaer, Proactis, and other relevant procurement platforms.
  • Prepare and submit Supplier Questionnaires (SQ), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), Expressions of Interest (EOI), and supplier onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate with UK procurement and supply chain teams to ensure successful supplier approval.
  • Identify new business opportunities through procurement portals, market research, networking, and direct client engagement.
  • Generate qualified business leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Monitor UK tender portals for upcoming telecom opportunities and support tender submissions.
  • Prepare capability statements, commercial proposals, bid responses, and client presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom operators, contractors, infrastructure companies, and enterprise clients across the UK.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier registrations, business opportunities, and client interactions within the CRM system.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for management.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain compliance documents, certifications, insurance, and technical information required for vendor onboarding.
  • Achieve assigned business development and supplier registration targets.
  • Stay updated on UK telecom market trends, procurement practices, and competitor activities.

Required Qualifications

  • MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Mandatory).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in Business Development, Vendor Registration, Procurement, or B2B Sales within the Telecommunications industry
  • Experience working with international clients, preferably the UK market
  • Strong knowledge of UK procurement processes and supplier registration procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement platforms such as:
    • SAP Ariba
    • Oracle
    • Achilles
    • Jaggaer
    • Proactis
    • Constructionline (preferred)
    • Crown Commercial Service (CCS) (preferred)
  • Experience preparing RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, PQQs, SQs, and tender submissions.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and performance targets.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Telecom Infrastructure, FTTH, Fixed Network, Mobile Network, OSP, ICT, ELV, or Managed Services.
  • Strong knowledge of UK telecom procurement and supplier onboarding processes.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, tender portals, and business development tools.
  • Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

Working Requirements

  • Must be based in Pakistan
  • This is a 100% remote/work-from-home position.
  • Must have a reliable laptop/desktop, stable high-speed internet connection, and a professional home-office setup.

  • Ability to attend online meetings via Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or Zoom.
