We are looking for a Business Development Manager to build strong partnerships with new clients while maximizing opportunities within our existing customer base.

Position Type: This is an individual contributor role.

Territory: British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

YOUR CHALLENGES

Develop, maintain, and grow strong business relationships with existing and prospective company clients. Identify sales opportunities, increase revenue, and contribute to the growth of SPI's Technical Services department.

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

  • Support the outside sales team in identifying, qualifying, and developing opportunities related to technical services and engineering solutions;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their operational, regulatory, and technical challenges, and recommending solutions tailored to their needs;
  • Act as a technical resource for sales teams by providing training, coaching, and support for complex projects and sales initiatives;
  • Conduct site visits, needs assessments, and preliminary evaluations to determine the most appropriate solutions;
  • Collaborate with technical and field teams to develop competitive solutions, proposals, and service offerings;
  • Prepare and deliver quotations, technical proposals, service offerings, and client presentations;
  • Develop new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients by promoting SPI’s full range of services;
  • Maintain and manage opportunities, proposals, and the sales pipeline within the CRM, from qualification to close;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key industry influencers through participation in industry events, professional associations, and networking activities;
  • Contribute to service offering development and growth objectives while ensuring a seamless transition of projects to field operations teams.

  • Technical Services and Engineering sales performance;
  • Gross margin generated;
  • Sales pipeline value;
  • Proposal conversion rate;
  • Sales growth within existing client accounts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Sales experience and the ability to leverage technology to support decision-making;
  • Background in a technical environment such as industrial, aerospace, construction, engineering, or related industries (a significant asset);
  • Hands-on aptitude and comfort performing basic measurements during client site visits.
