Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to support market development in the senior care space. This role is designed for an early-stage growth environment and combines business development, field outreach, channel building, and market feedback collection.

The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with senior care providers, building relationships through phone and in-person outreach, identifying qualified opportunities, and reporting market feedback in a structured way. This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate independently, learn quickly, and help validate go-to-market opportunities in the DFW market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain target lists across senior care and healthcare-adjacent channels, including:
  • Assisted Living
  • Memory Care
  • Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
  • Rehab providers
  • Home Care Agencies
  • Home Health Agencies
  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME) companies
  • Other senior-focused referral channels
  • Conduct outreach through:
  • Cold calls
  • Emails
  • Walk-in visits
  • Follow-up meetings
  • Introduce partner products and services to prospective channels and identify early-stage business opportunities
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, current practices, and adoption barriers
  • Help identify pilot opportunities and support early business development efforts
  • Track and report key field feedback, including:
  • Response rate
  • Meeting rate
  • Effective messaging
  • Common objections
  • Potential referral opportunities
  • Maintain organized outreach records, contact lists, and pipeline updates
  • Work closely with the CEO on priority accounts, opportunity strategy, and follow-up actions
  • Support light market research and partnership development activities as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of TEN years of sales experience working with healthcare institutions and senior care providers.
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Comfortable with cold outreach, including phone calls and in-person visits
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust quickly
  • Organized, responsive, and able to manage follow-up consistently
  • Able to work independently in a field-based role
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable traveling locally within the DFW area

Preferred

  • Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Senior living
  • Home health
  • Home care
  • Rehab
  • DME
  • Healthcare partnerships
  • B2B field sales
  • Familiarity with senior care or healthcare-adjacent markets
  • Experience in business development, account management, outreach, or community partnerships
  • Basic spreadsheet / CRM skills

Preferred Experience

  • Proven experience obtaining Medicare Advantage coverage or approval for DME (Durable Medical Equipment) products, including direct involvement in the approval, reimbursement, or coverage process. Please be prepared to describe the types of products you have worked with.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating with health plans, payers, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and successfully securing enterprise-level, network-wide, or comprehensive agreements for healthcare, senior care, or medical products and services.

Performance Expectations — First 90 Days

  • Learn the basics of partner products and their value proposition
  • Build and maintain a target list of senior care channels in the DFW market
  • Conduct outreach through calls, emails, and selected in-person visits
  • Track key activity metrics such as outreach volume, response rate, and meeting rate
  • Report market feedback to the CEO, including effective messaging and common objections
  • Help identify referral opportunities and support early partnership development
