We are revolutionizing the online ad-serving industry for advertisers, publishers, and networks alike and are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager (Publishing / Advertising) for our Barcelona office.

Profile

You understand the general needs of online advertising companies (B2B) and you are able to grow the company's market share worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive all phases of the sales lifecycle for potential advertisers: identify and develop leads, qualify leads, understand client needs, meet with clients, develop the value proposition, structure deals, negotiate deal points, negotiate contracts, and close.
  • Create and maintain a Sales Pipeline using a CRM system.
  • Being active on Skype, Facebook, Telegram groups to identify opportunities and leads.
  • Develop monthly / quarterly growth plans for your portfolio of new clients
  • Identify growth opportunities for existing accounts (cross-selling, upselling) in order to scale your clients.
  • Detect client's business needs and recommend a matching yield strategy.
  • Recommend best ad placements across different selection of ad formats and technologies
  • Support to clients during their onboarding phase for account-related requests in coordination with other departments (account manager, compliance, finance, technical, etc).
  • Recommend best traffic sources across different sites, formats and device types.
  • Recommend best targeting settings, features and optimization practices (CPC, smartCPM models, retargeting, blacklisting etc).
  • Interpret portfolio statistical data and comparison with global data, interpret campaign reports effectively.
  • Keep up to date with latest market news and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities beyond the role:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of business developers responsible for new business acquisition and lead management.
  • Set clear goals, objectives, and performance metrics for the team, aligned with the company's growth and retention objectives.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Business Development Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Participate in market research and analysis to identify potential clients, industries, and market segments.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.

Proposal Development and Negotiation:

  • Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and pitches for new business opportunities.
  • Participate in negotiations and contract discussions with clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality proposals and solutions to clients.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze the team's performance against targets and KPIs.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities, progress, and results.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

CRM Process Definition and Optimization:

  • Define, document, and optimize CRM processes tailored for new business acquisition and lead management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of CRM processes.
  • Implement best practices for data management, data hygiene, and data governance within the CRM system.

Lead Management and Nurturing:

  • Develop lead management processes within the CRM system, from lead capture to conversion, to ensure timely follow-up and engagement with prospects.
  • Implement lead scoring and qualification criteria to prioritize leads and optimize resource allocation.
  • Design and execute lead nurturing campaigns and workflows to move leads through the sales funnel effectively.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of CRM processes in driving new business acquisition.
  • Monitor and analyze CRM data and performance metrics to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Fluent Englishand Russianis a must Other languages will be highly valued.
  • Proven experience in business development, CRM management, lead management, or related roles, with a track record of driving new business acquisition and customer retention.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Expertise in CRM systems and tools, with hands-on experience in CRM implementation, configuration, and administration.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of the different online pricing models: CPC, CPM, CPA, etc. and the different online Ad monetization strategies.
  • Hands-on attitude with ability to make decisions with little or no guidance when required.
  • Good understanding and personal interest in online marketing and digital trends.
  • Advanced use of Google Sheet, formulas, macros, etc.
