Business Development Manager - Property Management

Property Valet is the dedicated property management business within imagina Group. We exist to deliver a level of care, consistency and stewardship that goes well beyond traditional portfolio management.

And we’re growing.

We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help shape that growth across Queensland, building our portfolio, strengthening our presence and creating relationships that have value well beyond a single new management.

This is a role for someone ambitious about what they can build.

You’ll bring the foundations of great property or real estate business development: strong networks, commercial instinct, persistence and the ability to turn a conversation into an opportunity and an opportunity into a client.

But we’re looking for more than a traditional BDM.

We’re looking for someone naturally curious about where growth can come from next. Someone who builds relationships rather than simply works leads; who sees the potential in a developer, builder, broker, internal referral or industry connection; and who is comfortable exploring new partnerships, new channels and smarter ways to grow.

You’ll also have something most BDMs don’t - our wider enterprise to connect into.

You’ll have highly experienced property management leadership, dedicated Portfolio Managers, Leasing Consultants and specialist support around you, together with the relationships, capability and reach of a broader enterprise behind you.

What you’ll be building

• A growing portfolio of new Property Valet managements across your geographical market.
• A strong pipeline that you actively create, develop and convert.
• B2B relationships with developers, builders, brokers, conveyancers and other referral partners and affiliates.
• New referral channels and partnerships – including opportunities across the broader imagina Group enterprise.
• Trusted relationships and referral opportunities with property owners that continue well beyond the initial appointment.
• Smarter approaches to prospecting, conversion and relationship development as we continue to evolve.
• A strong reputation in your market for Property Valet as the preferred property management business.

The person we’re looking for

You’ll already be a successful real estate or property Business Development Manager, but you probably don't think like a traditional one.

You’re ambitious. Commercial. Curious.

You understand that great business development is part sales, part relationship development, part persistence and part imagination. You thrive around targets, but you’re not someone who needs to be given a list of activities to achieve them.

You’ll likely bring:

• Strong experience in business development in real estate sales or property-focused new business.
• Evidence that you can personally create and convert business, not simply service an existing lead flow.
• The confidence to prospect, network, present, negotiate and close.
• Experience building B2B and referral relationships that generate repeat opportunities.
• Residential property and rental appraisal capability, with a sound understanding of management agreements and fee structures.
• The discipline and self-motivation to perform exceptionally in a remote environment.
• Curiosity about technology, smarter systems and new ways of finding, nurturing and converting opportunities.

Importantly, you’ll bring initiative and drive.
