Move forward as Business Development Manager Parcel at DSV in Maastricht Airport

As business development manager, you are the driving force behind the commercial growth of our Parcel activities across the Benelux. You identify new market opportunities, build strategic customer relationships and develop sustainable commercial partnerships that contribute to the continued growth of our organisation.

Driving commercial growth across the Benelux, with a strong focus on the further development of our new Parcel E-com product: you’re on it.

How you do this? You are end-to-end responsible for the entire commercial journey within our Parcel activities, from strategic cold acquisition and prospecting through to contract negotiations, implementation and ongoing relationship management. You continuously balance winning new customers with further developing existing accounts. Depending on your experience, you will operate either within the SME segment, with shorter sales cycles, or within Key Accounts, involving complex, multi-layered decision-making processes and longer-term negotiations. In both contexts, you know how to identify and qualify commercial opportunities and turn them into sustainable, profitable partnerships.

With your commercial experience and knowledge of transport and logistics, you are well equipped to analyse customer needs and translate them into scalable, future-proof Parcel solutions. You take the lead throughout the entire process and ensure close alignment with both external stakeholders and internal departments such as Operations, Customer Service and Implementation Management, with the aim of delivering a consistent, high-quality end-to-end customer proposition.

By continuously monitoring market developments, proactively identifying growth opportunities and actively contributing to DSV Parcel’s commercial growth plan, you will make a direct contribution to the further professionalisation and growth of areas including Parcel E-com across the Benelux. You achieve this by:

• actively identifying, approaching and acquiring new customers within the Benelux market;
• continuously analysing market and sector developments to identify and capitalise on commercial growth opportunities;
• providing intensive support to new customers throughout the implementation phase to ensure successful onboarding and integration;
• building, maintaining and strategically developing long-term customer relationships, with a focus on value creation and retention;
• providing well-founded input and insights to support DSV Parcel’s sales and growth plan.

You bring

• demonstrable experience in business development, sales or a similar commercial role within the transport or logistics sector;
• a strong commercial and results-driven mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and turn them into tangible commercial results;
• excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in both Dutch and English being essential;
• a proactive and entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across sales, operations and management;
• a strong team-oriented mindset, with collaboration and achieving shared objectives at the heart of your approach.
