Business Development Manager (On-Site)

What You'll Do
As a Business Development Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to key customers, helping them identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and achieve their strategic goals. You will own the customer relationship from opportunity identification through project execution while working closely with engineering, project management, operations and service teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive profitable sales growth.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
• Identify and cultivate new sales opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Manage and advance a robust sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are effectively tracked and prioritized.
• Partner with engineering and project teams to develop customized technical solutions that meet customer needs.
• Lead customer discussions, proposal development, contract negotiations, and sales closing activities.
• Serve as the voice of the customer by sharing market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging industry opportunities.
• Represent JOA at customer sites, industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Remain actively engaged throughout project execution to ensure customer satisfaction and successful outcomes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive business experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, capital equipment, or technical sales.
• Proven success developing and managing customer relationships that generate long-term business growth.
• Experience selling complex or technical products and solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
