Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager (BDM) serves as the primary interface between the Company, its customers, suppliers, channel partners, and end customers. The BDM is responsible for driving business growth and executing supplier strategies within the assigned market.
The role encompasses managing the entire sales cycle, with the objective of maximizing revenue, net gross profit, and customer satisfaction. The BDM will build and maintain strong
relationships with key stakeholders within supplier organizations, partners, and end customers.
The BDM is expected to independently manage assigned suppliers, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class value-added services while identifying new business opportunities and driving sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Channel Partner and Vendor engagement
Execution - Credit management, Order processing, AR Collections
Operational excellence - pipeline management, forecasting and inventory management
Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities and market segments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
Develop and execute business development and go-to-market strategies.
Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop customer solutions.
Prepare business proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
Monitor industry trends and customer requirements to recommend strategic initiatives.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and business reports.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner engagements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 8 years of experience in business development, channel sales, or IT solutions sales.
Proven experience in developing and managing partner/channel ecosystems.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
Strong business acumen with the ability to understand market trends and customer needs.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Mature and professional, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to leverage internal and external resources to drive business growth.
Results-oriented with a track record of achieving revenue and business growth targets.
Good understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or related technology solutions.
