Department Overview

This position belongs to the "Rakuten Marketing Japan Department / LinkShare Japan Business," which is a marketing specialized organization within the Ad & Media Company.
Under the slogan "Performance Based Marketing For All Channels," we tackle and resolve diverse business challenges faced by our clients by providing multifaceted solutions.
Founded on affiliate advertising, we are a leading company in the Performance Marketing domain. We partner with global AI companies and leverage Rakuten's marketing assets (Rakuten data, Rakuten media, etc.) to provide marketing support.
We directly engage with Rakuten Group, one of Japan's leading advertisers, and major EC and FinTech companies, taking charge of proposing and operating performance advertising that contributes to marketing ROI improvement and sales growth.

This position is within the "New Client Sales" department of the Rakuten Marketing Japan Department / LinkShare Japan Business.
We conduct proposals to major domestic corporations, and also collaborate with other Rakuten Group businesses to make proposals to companies, national governments, and local municipalities in the Americas and Europe.
Our main proposed services include: "Affiliate Advertising (our own ASP), Influencer Advertising (our own service), Search Engine Marketing (Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft), and Display/Video Advertising (Meta, LINE, X, TTD, Tver, etc.)."
Leveraging Rakuten data and Rakuten media, along with exclusive partner strategies with global AI tech companies, provides an environment where unique proposals can be made.

We are recruiting new team members as we aim to strengthen new client sales activities to develop the "advertising" business into the fourth pillar of the Rakuten Group.

Position Details

- We conduct new proposal activities to major domestic corporations, and also engage with companies in the Americas/Europe, as well as national and local governments, in collaboration with other Rakuten Group businesses.
- Our main proposed services include: "Affiliate advertising (our own ASP), Influencer advertising (our own service), Search Engine Marketing (Google, Yahoo!, Microsoft), and Display/Video advertising (Meta, LINE, X, TTD, Tver, etc.)."
- This environment allows for unique proposals through the utilization of Rakuten data/Rakuten media and exclusive partnership strategies with global AI tech companies.
- As lead generation is handled by the marketing department, your role will cover the entire process from initial client meetings to the launch of advertising campaigns (after which the account will be handed over to the existing client sales representative).

Organizational Structure
The new business development department consists of less than 10 members, comprising both new Rakuten graduates and mid-career hires.

‐ Year 3: Team Leader (Leading a team of 2-3 members)
- Year 5: Group Manager (Managing multiple teams, approximately 10 members)
- Other: There is a flexible assignment environment that aligns with your career plan, including transfers to departments closer to products or services, or transfers through application to open positions within other Rakuten businesses.

*There will be an approximately 3-month training period after joining the company. After the training, you may be assigned to a different team based on your aptitude.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Over 3 years of experience in solution-based corporate sales handling internet-related products (experience in the advertising industry is not required).

Desired Qualifications:

- Corporate sales experience in either affiliate advertising, display advertising, or search engine marketing.
- Corporate sales experience at a digital marketing company, internet advertising company, or other advertising-related company.

- The employment type is a full-time position with Rakuten Group, Inc.

- The Rakuten Marketing Japan Department also holds the corporate status of "LinkShare Japan K.K.," a 100% subsidiary of Rakuten Group, Inc., and operates "LinkShare," which provides comprehensive digital marketing solutions.

- For this position, you will be seconded to LinkShare Japan K.K., a 100% subsidiary of Rakuten Group, Inc., after joining.

- Your official affiliation will remain with Rakuten Group, Inc., so the salary structure, benefits, and evaluation system will be the same as those of Rakuten Group, Inc.
