Division: Industrial Sales – MRO + Packaging
Base Salary + Quarterly Bonus: Total compensation range of $130,000 – $150,000

We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Pacific Northwest territory (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana). This is a high-impact role centered on developing large, strategic accounts while serving as a trusted expert and partner to both customers and internal sales teams.

You’ll play a dual role as a hunter and a collaborator, driving new business while elevating the capabilities of territory reps through your expertise in MRO and Packaging solutions. Success in this role comes from a team-first mindset, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to build lasting partnerships at every level of an organization.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Growth & Big Account Development

  • Identify, pursue, and win large, multi-site industrial accounts across manufacturing, distribution, and production sectors
  • Build and execute a territory strategy focused on high-value MRO and Packaging opportunities
  • Engage executive leadership, procurement teams, and plant operations to position full-scope solutions
  • Deliver compelling ROI-driven proposals including cost savings, efficiency gains, and supply chain optimization
  • Expand share of wallet within key accounts through consultative selling and long-term partnership development

Territory Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as the MRO & Packaging subject matter expert across the region
  • Partner closely with territory sales reps to support complex opportunities and accelerate deal cycles
  • Coach and collaborate with internal teams to elevate overall territory performance
  • Work cross-functionally with suppliers, category specialists, and inside sales to deliver seamless customer solutions

Customer Relationships & Account Excellence

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships from the plant floor to the C-suite
  • Lead business reviews, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure consistent execution across multi-location accounts
  • Identify and implement value-added services such as VMI and storeroom solutions

Market & Product Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of MRO categories including fasteners, tools, safety, electrical, and more
  • Stay current on packaging innovations, automation trends, and material optimization
  • Monitor market dynamics including pricing, tariffs, and supply chain shifts
  • Leverage supplier partnerships to bring best-in-class solutions to customers

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of success in B2B industrial sales, ideally within MRO, Packaging, or distribution
  • Proven ability to win and grow large, complex accounts
  • Experience selling across both plant-level operations and corporate procurement
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a focus on value creation
  • A collaborative mindset with a genuine desire to help teammates and customers succeed
  • Ability to navigate multi-site organizations and build relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel strongly preferred)
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest (25–50%)

Why This Role Stands Out

  • High visibility role with direct impact on major account growth
  • Opportunity to shape strategy across a multi-state territory
  • Strong team culture built on collaboration, support, and shared success
  • Backed by a robust supplier network and internal expertise

If you're a relationship-driven sales pro with a hunter mentality and a passion for growing territory, we want to hear from you. Send your resume to bmcivor@talentsphere.ca if you are interested.
