About the Opportunity

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, not waiting for them.

Someone who thrives on opening doors, influencing decision-makers, pursuing major projects and growing market share.

As our Business Development Manager - Mining, you will take ownership of one of Eriez Australia's most strategically important market sectors across Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

You will work directly with mining companies, EPCs, OEMs, consultants and channel partners to identify opportunities, influence project specifications and convert opportunities into profitable growth.

This is a role for someone who wants to build something, not just maintain it.

In this role, you will:

• Identifying and winning new business opportunities across the Mining and Extractive Industries sectors
• Building relationships with mining operators, EPCs, OEMs, consultants and channel partners
• Developing a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and major project pursuits
• Growing Eriez's market share and strengthening our position within key mining markets
• Leading quotations, tenders, commercial negotiations and project pursuits from opportunity through to winning them
• Influencing project specifications and positioning Eriez technologies early in the project lifecycle
• Representing Eriez at customer sites, industry events, trade shows and conferences throughout the region
• Driving strategic growth initiatives and helping shape the future direction of the Mining business

Requirements

About You

You are an experienced business development professional who combines strong commercial capability with technical curiosity and a passion for building relationships. You enjoy opening doors, creating opportunities and challenging the status quo. You are comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers, navigating complex sales cycles and pursuing opportunities that may take months or years to convert.

To be successful, you will have:

• Experience working with Mining Companies, EPCs, OEMs, Engineering Consultants or Capital Equipment suppliers will be highly regarded
• Proven success in business development, technical sales or account management within Mining, Industrial Processing, Capital Equipment or a related industry
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Experience managing complex sales opportunities and long sales cycles
• The ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from operational personnel through to senior executives
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
• A self-motivated approach and the ability to work autonomously across a diverse geographic region

What You Will Bring

• Experience selling into Mining, Mineral Processing, Industrial Processing, Capital Equipment, Engineering Services or related industries
• A proven ability to develop opportunities and convert them into revenue
• Experience managing major projects, tenders and strategic customer relationships
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management capability
• Experience working with Mining Companies, EPCs, OEMs, Consultants or Channel Partners
• A growth mindset and a genuine passion for business development
