Business Development Manager - Hospital Patient Monitoring Growth Region
The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the growth and commercial strategy for the Growth Region. The role drives the end-to-end development of the Monitoring business, including strategic direction, business model development, go-to-market execution, and commercial acceleration. Working in close collaboration with Zones, Marketing, Product Management, and Business Categories, the role ensures that strategic priorities are translated into measurable business outcomes.
Your role
Strategic Alignment and Business Development
Defines and drives the strategic priorities, including country focus and segment positioning across the Growth Region
Translates global strategy into regionally relevant approaches, considering market maturity, access, and affordability dynamics
Develops and implements scalable business models to support sustainable growth
Ensures alignment across Zones, Marketing , Region and Business Leadership on strategic direction and execution priorities
Portfolio and Roadmap Management
Provides regional input into portfolio strategy and prioritization, ensuring alignment with the Growth Region market needs
Collaborates with Product Management to influence the roadmap representing the needs from customers and market
Defines regional launch priorities and supports execution of New Product Introductions (NPI)
Monitors portfolio competitiveness, market dynamics and competitive positioning to identify growth opportunities and strategic gaps
Commercial Strategy and Execution
Defines and implements go-to-market strategies for priority markets and segments
Drives development of a robust pipeline in collaboration with Zones
Leads and supports strategic customer engagements and complex opportunities, including enterprise and cross-portfolio opportunities requiring innovative commercial models
Supports the structuring and execution of commercial deals in alignment with strategic priorities
Develops and scales repeatable commercial approaches across markets, including installed base and lifecycle strategies
Business Case Development and Performance Management
Develops business cases, pricing approaches, and investment frameworks for new opportunities
Defines and tracks key performance indicators, including growth, market share, pipeline development, revenue contribution, and market penetration
Monitors progress against strategic priorities and provides regular updates to leadership
Ensures initiatives are supported by sound financial and commercial rationale
Market Development and Customer Engagement
Translates customer and market insights into relevant value propositions for low- and mid-acuity segments – feeding these to the Product Management roadmap
Engages with key customers, partners, and early adopters to validate solutions and drive adoption
Supports the positioning of Philips as a trusted partner in monitoring solutions across the Growth Region
Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration
Acts as a strategic partner to Region, Marketing, Zone Leaders and Business Leadership
Represents the voice of the Growth Region towards Business Categories and central functions
Drives cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives
Contributes to knowledge sharing and scaling of best practices across markets
You’re the right fit if:
Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, Economics or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years in areas such as International Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Business Planning, Growth Strategy, Commercial Strategy, or equivalent.
Strong strategic and commercial mindset, with the ability to translate strategy into execution across complex, multi-country environments.
Experience in business development, go-to-market strategies, business models, value propositions and commercial deal support that drive measurable growth.
Solid understanding of business models, market dynamics, financial drivers and business case development.
Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-country environments and support complex commercial opportunities, including enterprise, cross-portfolio, partnership or innovative business model opportunities.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Data-driven approach to decision-making, pipeline development and performance tracking
Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership a focus on delivering results
