Bring together internal and external capabilities—including technology, consulting, and delivery teams—to design and deliver solutions that address HMRC’s business challenges and transformation goals.
  • Proposal Leadership:
Lead the development of compelling proposals and business cases for new opportunities, ensuring alignment with HMRC’s strategic direction and maximising value for both the client and the business unit.
  • Commercial Focus:
Drive commercial outcomes by identifying profitable growth areas, securing investment, and ensuring the successful delivery and commercialisation of solutions relevant to HMRC’s tax and transformation agenda.
  • Continuous Improvement:
Monitor the effectiveness of implemented strategies, gather feedback, and iterate approaches to ensure ongoing alignment with HMRC’s evolving requirements.

Your Transferable Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience working with HMRC or within the tax industry, with a proven track record in business development, policy, or transformation roles.

  • Demonstrable experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects within the public sector or tax domain

  • Deep understanding of HMRC’s tax policy environment, transformation programmes, and the broader UK tax landscape.

  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in developing business cases, securing investment, and delivering measurable outcomes.
