Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager to expand our presence across Virginia by securing new partnerships with Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).

This role is ideal for a high-energy professional who thrives on building connections, closing deals, and growing territory through strategic outreach and in-person relationship development.

This is not a passive account management role — this position requires proactive outreach, in-person engagement, and consistent new business development.

Travel Requirement

This position requires frequent travel throughout Virginia to meet with prospective and existing facility partners. Travel is a core function of the role. A company vehicle is available for business travel and is encouraged for use, based on shared availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities with ALF and SNF facilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with facility administrators, directors, and decision-makers

  • Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and site visits to secure new contracts

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution

  • Collaborate with internal recruiting and operations teams to ensure successful service delivery

  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and provide regular updates on sales activity and performance

  • Represent the company at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently securing new facility contracts

  • Building long-term, trust-based client relationships

  • Expanding company footprint across assigned territory

  • Meeting or exceeding growth targets

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience

  • Experience in post-acute healthcare industry, senior care, or healthcare services strongly preferred

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage a travel-based schedule

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

What We’re Looking For

  • Proactive, confident, and persistent approach to business development

  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building relationships in person

  • Ability to convert relationships into long-term business partnerships

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative, non-traditional approaches to identifying and securing new business opportunities

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus commission structure

  • Opportunity to build and grow a territory

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Employer-paid basic life, AD&D, and short-term disability insurance

  • Opportunity to build and grow a territory

  • Supportive and collaborative team environment

  • Meaningful work connecting healthcare providers with facilities in need
