We do this by providing an engineering platform that allows users to more accurately evaluate and forecast assets with fewer resources than any other technical analysis tool, without compromising. And this is only the beginning.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager, Financial Institutions to own and grow our banking vertical. Banks with reserve-based lending (RBL) books depend on accurate, defensible reserve evaluations to set borrowing bases, manage credit risk and move quickly through redetermination season – exactly what ComboCurve was built to do. This person will be the commercial lead for banks we currently work with and will drive the effort to land the RBL lenders who are not yet ComboCurve customers. Our Sales Team translates our product capabilities to customer needs, through effective questioning techniques during discovery calls and the creation of compelling business cases. Every member of this team attends a weekly 1:1 meeting with the VP of Sales to discuss their pipeline and accurately forecast future production.

In this role you will be responsible for

• Owning ComboCurve’s relationships across our existing bank clients. You will be the primary commercial point of contact for each bank, deepening adoption across their engineering, credit and portfolio teams and growing revenue through renewals, expansion and new use cases.
• Landing the remaining RBL lenders. You will build a targeted account plan for every reserve-based lending bank in the market that is not yet a customer and run the full sales cycle, from first conversation to signed contract.
• Understanding how each bank actually works – and connecting those workflows to the value our software delivers.
• Selling across the whole bank. You will build relationships with reservoir engineers and engineering managers, credit officers, relationship managers and senior leaders in energy lending groups, and guide deals through procurement, vendor risk, information security and compliance reviews.
• Performing thorough discovery that becomes the foundation for targeted demonstrations by our technical sales team, and partnering with Customer Success to make sure every bank client is realizing the full value of the platform.
• Representing ComboCurve in the energy finance community through industry conferences, bank engineering forums, client visits and LinkedIn, and bringing market feedback from lenders back to our Product team.
• Working in the system! You must be able to document your work in our CRM, forecast accurately and show transparency in your sales technique.

We are looking for a Candidate with

• Banking Sales Experience – 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, including selling software, data or services to banks or other financial institutions. You understand how a bank evaluates, approves and buys.
• RBL Fluency – a working knowledge of reserve-based lending: borrowing bases, semi-annual redeterminations, price decks, reserve reports, hedging requirements and covenants. Experience in or alongside an energy lending group is a strong plus.
• Relationship Builder – the ability to earn the trust of engineers, credit officers and executives alike. An existing network across energy lending groups is highly valued.
• Account Management – experience managing and growing a book of enterprise accounts while running long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles at the same time.
• High degree of coachability – the ability to absorb and apply feedback quickly
• High degree of curiosity – the ability to understand a potential customer's context through effective questioning and listening

• Sales Intelligence – Can you learn complex technical and financial concepts quickly and communicate them in an easy-to-understand manner?
