Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager / e-Health

Department: Strategy & Marketing

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

Your impact begins here

As Business Development Manager / e-Health, you will lead how Novo Nordisk partners with digital healthcare providers in the Czech Republic. You will spot new opportunities across telehealth, online clinics and pharmacies, build partnerships that work for both sides and see them through to implementation. The aim is clear: improve patient access to treatment and create sustainable business value. As the local lead for e-health business development, you will help shape how people reach care in a fast-moving digital market.

What you’ll bring

You combine commercial business development experience with a practical understanding of how healthcare is changing online. You will also bring:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in commercial business development, commercial strategy, external partnerships, new business models, digital health or a related field.
  • A proven track record of identifying growth opportunities, developing and negotiating strategic partnerships, and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including a good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, sales channels, pricing, market dynamics and the competitive landscape in the Czech Republic.
  • The ability to build business cases and financial models that show the value and return on investment of a partnership – and to compare it with alternative approaches when prioritising.
  • An understanding of the economics of digital healthcare providers, including patient acquisition, conversion, retention and key revenue and cost drivers.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with a calm, assertive and professional approach in complex or high-pressure situations, and the ability to build trust with senior decision makers.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgement, with experience of finding compliant, legally sound ways to move opportunities forward in a highly regulated environment.
  • A university degree in business, economics, marketing, life sciences, healthcare management or a related field.
  • Fluent Czech and English.

Useful, but not essential:

  • Hands-on experience in digital health, e-health, telehealth, online healthcare or digital commercial partnerships.
  • Commercial knowledge of GLP-1 treatments, including differentiation and market potential.

What you’ll do

You will own e-health business development locally – from spotting the opportunity to making the partnership work in practice.

  • Develop and execute the local e-health strategy in line with business priorities, monitoring the market, how people access care and emerging digital healthcare models.
  • Identify, assess and prioritise e-health, telehealth, online clinic and pharmacy partners based on commercial attractiveness, financial viability and scalability.
  • Develop partnership concepts, value propositions and business cases, and lead partner discussions and commercial negotiations.
  • Help selected partners turn agreed concepts into practical, compliant initiatives, connecting them with internal expertise and removing implementation barriers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and ensure the right alignment, approvals, documentation and governance are in place.
  • Track the progress and business impact of key partnerships, identify where successful models can be improved, scaled or adapted, and share learnings.

Who you’ll work with

You will be part of the Czech affiliate within International Operations, where colleagues work across markets to serve people around the world and help improve health at scale. You will report to our Director, Strategy & Marketing.

As the local point of contact for e-health business development, you will work closely with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Customer Engagement, Finance, Procurement and Legal/Compliance. Engaging Legal and Compliance early will help you find sustainable ways forward that balance business opportunity, patient interests and regulatory requirements.

Externally, you will partner with e-health providers, online clinics, telehealth platforms, pharmacies and other healthcare partners. You will also connect with regional Business Development teams and represent the Czech affiliate in relevant e-health and business development forums, bringing outside perspectives in and sharing what works.

What you can expect here

You will have clear ownership of an area that is still taking shape, with the trust to make decisions, follow them through and make your voice heard. The role gives you broad cross-functional exposure and a direct line into regional business development forums, where you can learn from other markets and share your own results.

You will be supported to perform at your best and to grow your skills in digital health, partnership design and commercial strategy through practical experience and relevant learning offerings.
