We are looking for a resilient, empathic Business Development Manager to contribute to the day to day management and growth whilst continuing to preserve and raise the reputational profile of the service.

Our Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the current management team in the day to day management of the service, focusing on strengthening teams to assist growth, contributing to maintaining and excelling in quality patient centered care delivery
  • Proactively building and maintaining co-productive relationships with ICB commissioners, local authorities, other service providers/stakeholders and the wider communities we work in (including self-funding private clients)
  • Overseeing the continuous development and improvement of policies, procedures and processes, ensuring compliance and legal obligations are met including CQC.

The ideal candidate will become the link between our in-house management team and clients defined as:

  • commissioners
  • private-individuals
  • Local Authorities
  • clinical commissioning teams
  • continuing health-care teams
  • community teams

The link the Business Development Manager forges is designed to ensure continuity of impartial oversight around managing and meeting expectations of clients, whilst balancing, understanding and supporting the challenges that our in-house management team face on a daily basis in what is, a fast-moving sector. Therefore, the ability to multi-task and problem solve in an open and transparent, honest manner is essential, but at the same time, the role requires the person to have a natural ability to build and maintain quality, respectful relationships based on integrity and trust, so a fair and equitable manner is required.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Nurse or Care Manager with a full understanding of the domiciliary care sector, who believes that they have the necessary skills for this role, to build on their solid foundation of sector skills.

This is a new role within an established and respected domiciliary care provider who specialises in complex care needs, a great opportunity for the successful applicant to forge for themselves a role that is reflective of their own skills, abilities and personality.

Business Development Manager Core capabilities

  • A solid foundation of knowledge and understanding of the companys services and abilities
  • Proven track record of management abilities and a flexible approach allowing for a 360 degree view of the role, the ability to wear many hats is required
  • Procuring new clients through direct contact and building quality relationships
  • Accessing networking opportunities to research and connect with prospective clients
  • Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained
  • Supporting the clinical team to ensure they are successful in exceeding compliance whilst delivering quality patient centered care allowing for ease of growth for the business
  • Reviewing clients' feedback and implementing necessary changes
  • Remaining in tune with trends to ensure that our offerings remain relevant
  • Effective problem solving to ensure we meet and exceed our clients expectations
  • Natural ability to remain objective

The ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced Nurse or Manager with a full understanding of the domiciliary care sector
  • Intuitive and insightful, particularly regarding human behaviour
