
Business Development Manager – Data Center & AI Infrastructure
Remote, U.S. | $140K–$180K Base | $235K–$300K OTE | Uncapped
Are you a true hunter who knows how to open doors, build credibility with technical decision-makers, and turn complex infrastructure opportunities into long-term customer relationships?
This is an opportunity to join a growing infrastructure services organization supporting some of the most demanding environments in the data center and AI market.
You’ll own a territory, develop new logos, and pursue complex infrastructure programs ranging from individual data center deployments to multi-site, multi-million-dollar engagements.
This is not hardware resale or transactional sales You’ll be selling technical services and infrastructure solutions into hyperscalers, colocation providers, AI compute companies, and enterprise data center organizations.

What You’ll Be Selling
Solutions include:
Data center network deployment and refresh programs
Structured cabling and physical infrastructure
Rack-and-stack and data hall build-outs
Layer 1 technical services and on-site resource programs
Data center infrastructure management technology
Technical project and program management
Migration, cutover, and infrastructure support services
What You’ll Do
Build and execute a territory strategy targeting data center operators, hyperscalers, AI compute providers, and large enterprise organizations
Generate your own pipeline through outbound activity, industry relationships, referrals, conferences, and market intelligence
Identify upcoming data center builds, expansions, network refreshes, and infrastructure investments
Develop relationships across operations, network engineering, construction, capital projects, procurement, and executive leadership
Lead discovery and coordinate internal technical resources through solution development and proposal creation
Own pricing strategy, commercial terms, negotiation, and the overall close process
Navigate complex procurement environments including MSAs, rate cards, work orders, vendor qualification, and change orders
Expand initial wins into larger campus, regional, and national relationships
Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM activity
Represent the organization at customer sites, industry events, and partner meetings
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience
3+ years selling complex technical services, infrastructure, construction, or professional services
Proven success developing new logos, not simply managing inherited accounts
Experience selling into data centers, telecommunications, critical facilities, or similar technical environments
Ability to confidently engage data center operations and network infrastructure leaders
Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Strong understanding of services-based pricing, margins, rate structures, and commercial negotiations
Experience managing opportunities with six-month or longer sales cycles
Strong CRM and forecasting discipline
Ability to travel approximately 40–50%

Experience with any of the following would be highly valuable:
Hyperscale or colocation data centers
AI or HPC infrastructure
Structured cabling or low-voltage infrastructure
Network deployment services
Electrical or mechanical contracting
Critical facilities
Managed services or technical staffing
Master service agreements and enterprise vendor programs
Existing relationships within hyperscaler, colocation, AI infrastructure, or data center operations organizations would be a major plus.
Location
This position can be based remotely within the United States. Candidates located near major data center markets are especially attractive, including:
Northern Virginia | Dallas–Fort Worth | Phoenix | Atlanta | Columbus | Chicago | Portland/Hillsboro | Salt Lake City
Comparable major data center markets will also be considered.
