Business Development Manager - Construction

Electrical Construction & Design-Build

Piper Electric Co., Inc., a Crete United Company, has served the Denver metro area for over 42 years and continues to grow. We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive new revenue across commercial and industrial construction markets.

What You’ll Do

• Identify, pursue, and close commercial and industrial construction opportunities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers and owners
• Use Salesforce as the single source of truth for pipeline, forecasts, and opportunity management
• Translate project requirements into electrical construction, design-build, and negotiated work solutions in partnership with estimating and operations
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline with disciplined forecasting and data integrity
• Lead technical discovery conversations with project stakeholders and decision-makers
• Collaborate with the preconstruction team to develop scope, estimated costs, proposal, and deliverables.
• Represent Piper Electric and Crete United at industry events, preconstruction meetings, and client presentations

What You Bring

• Strong background in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction
• Proven hunter-style sales success in a construction environment
• Journeyman Electrician or electrical experience a plus
• Understanding of design-build delivery, estimating, and electrical cost drivers
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• 3+ years in electrical construction, design/build, estimating, and/or technical sales
• 1+ years selling or supporting commercial or industrial electrical construction projects

• $90,000 – $110,000 base salary plus performance-based commission
