Business Development Manager - Building Products - Base Salary to 120k/year - Charlotte, NC

Our client is a manufacturer of exterior building products serving professional contractor, dealer, and distributor channels. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business development and expand market presence throughout North and South Carolina.
This is an outside sales and territory development role focused on growing dealer, distributor, and contractor relationships, developing new accounts, and increasing product adoption throughout the assigned market.

Responsibilities:

Develop and expand relationships with contractors, dealers, distributors, lumberyards, and other building materials customers
Drive new business development and territory sales growth by developing new accounts, expanding the contractor customer base, and increasing stocking dealer relationships
Manage an assigned sales territory throughout North and South Carolina
Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, training sessions, trade shows, and industry events
Develop relationships across dealer, distributor, contractor, and professional building products channels
Track leads, accounts, sales activity, and forecasts using CRM systems
Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams on territory development and sales initiatives
Travel 30-40% throughout the assigned territory

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
2+ years of experience in sales, business development, outside sales, territory sales, or a related field
Ability to travel 30-40% throughout North and South Carolina

Compensation:

Base salary in the 80k - 120k/year range plus commission
