
ACG_3882_JOB Our client, a leading e-commerce enabler in Southeast Asia providing end-to-end solutions across commercial operations, digital marketing, customer service, warehousing, and fulfillment, is looking for a qualified candidate to join their Business Development team. JOB OVERVIEW The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding the company’s brand acquisition activities by identifying and bringing high-potential Chinese brands into Vietnam and Thailand, with broader Southeast Asian markets expected to follow. This is a hunter-focused role responsible for identifying, approaching, and onboarding Chinese brands seeking to expand into Southeast Asian e-commerce markets. The position will act as the key commercial bridge between brand owners and decision-makers in China and local teams in Southeast Asia. JOB DESCRIPTION Identify and approach Chinese brands that are interested in or ready to expand into Vietnam and Thailand, with a particular focus on the Beauty and Consumer Electronics/Electrical Appliances sectors. Manage the full business development cycle, from prospecting and initial outreach to pitching, commercial negotiation, and brand onboarding. Build and maintain strong relationships with brand owners, commercial teams, and other key stakeholders in China. Develop market-entry proposals tailored to Southeast Asian e-commerce markets, including platform strategy, pricing strategy, and go-to-market plans. Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure successful brand launches and smooth business ramp-up. Monitor business development pipelines, brand acquisition targets, and revenue contribution from the acquired brand portfolio. Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and brand roadshows in China and Vietnam when required. Requirements Chinese or Vietnamese nationality, with a strong professional network within China’s Beauty and/or Consumer Electronics/Appliances industries. Approximately 5–8 years of experience in Business Development, Brand Management, or Trade/Export Sales, preferably gained on the brand side or within an e-commerce enabler. Strong understanding of Chinese brands’ motivations for international expansion, internal decision-making processes, and expectations when entering overseas markets. Previous experience working with or selling into Southeast Asian markets is an advantage but not mandatory. Fluent Mandarin and professional working proficiency in English are required. Vietnamese language capability is considered an advantage. Entrepreneurial and self-driven, with the ability to build new business initiatives and processes from the ground up in an environment where no established playbook currently exists. Willing to be based in Vietnam for the first six months, with flexibility regarding work location thereafter.
