Job Description

Business Development Manager - Europe

Data Centre Fibre Connectivity Solutions - UK/DACH/Nordics

Up to £/€120,000 basic + bonus

Remote

Are you a commercially driven business development professional with experience in fibre connectivity, data centre infrastructure, structured cabling, telecoms or network solutions?

This is a rare opportunity to join a global cable manufacturer at an exciting stage of growth and help establish its position within the rapidly expanding European data centre market.

Our client is looking for an entrepreneurial sales professional to lead the development of its data centre fibre cabling business across Europe. This is not a commodity cable sales role. The focus is on developing strategic relationships with data centre operators, contractors, installers, system integrators and channel partners while introducing a portfolio of high-performance fibre optic solutions.

With significant European manufacturing capability, strong supply chain infrastructure and the ability to support large-scale projects, the business is investing heavily in growing its presence within the data centre sector.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for developing market presence and building a sustainable sales pipeline for a portfolio that includes:

  • High fibre-count optical cabling
  • Connectorised fibre solutions
  • Pre-terminated assemblies
  • Data centre connectivity infrastructure
  • Custom fibre optic solutions

This is a true market development role where you will identify opportunities, engage key decision makers, support specification activity and establish long-term partnerships across the European data centre ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a European market development strategy
  • Build relationships with data centre operators and owners
  • Engage contractors, installers and integrators involved in data centre projects
  • Establish and develop channel and distribution partnerships where appropriate
  • Drive product specification and qualification activity
  • Identify new projects and create a robust opportunity pipeline
  • Promote the company's manufacturing, supply chain and delivery capabilities as key differentiators
  • Provide customer and market intelligence to support future growth

About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience selling into one or more of the following markets:

  • Data centres
  • Fibre optic connectivity
  • Structured cabling
  • Telecom infrastructure
  • Network infrastructure
  • Passive networking solutions

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to build a market rather than manage existing accounts
  • Backed by substantial manufacturing capacity in Europe
  • Strong supply chain and delivery capabilities
  • Ability to influence strategy and market direction
  • Significant growth potential across the European data centre market
  • Genuine autonomy and visibility within an international business
