Camp Yarramundi has been inspiring young people since 1937. In 2028, we're opening the doors to a reimagined, purpose-built outdoor education and events centre designed to welcome everyone.

We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to help bring this vision to life.

Success in this role comes from a combination of energy, persistence and strong relationship building. You'll be engaging with decision-makers across NSW, creating new opportunities, converting immediate demand and developing partnerships that can grow into significant long-term business for years to come.

What you'll be doing

• Building relationships with school leaders, educators, outdoor education coordinators and key decision-makers across NSW.
• Growing Camp Yarramundi's school camp and outdoor education customer base.
• Identifying and converting opportunities across conferences, retreats, corporate groups and community organisations.
• Conducting presentations, networking events, customer meetings and site tours.
• Managing a healthy pipeline of opportunities through CRM and maintaining accurate forecasting.
• Re-engaging schools and organisations while introducing the exciting future vision for Camp Yarramundi.
• Working closely with operational teams to create solutions that genuinely meet customer needs.

What success looks like

• Strong forward booking performance leading into the 2028 opening.
• Consistent pipeline growth and sales conversion.
• New school partnerships established across Government, Catholic and Independent sectors.
• Increased occupancy across school, corporate and community markets.
• Long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business year after year.

About you

You might currently be a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Territory Manager or Sales Executive looking for your next challenge.

You'll bring:

• Experience in business development, sales or customer acquisition within the Education industry is desirable.
• A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence decision-makers.
• The patience and resilience to manage opportunities that may take months, or even years, to convert.
• Confidence presenting to groups and leading customer conversations.
• Experience using CRM platforms and managing a structured sales pipeline.
• A proactive, self-driven approach with a genuine sense of ownership and accountability.
