Job Description

We are seeking a commercially minded and results-driven Business Development Manager to own two revenue-critical subscription channels - In-App Purchase (IAP) and direct Credit Card (CC) - while developing strategic partnership opportunities in Thailand and internationally to support long-term business growth.

This role combines channel ownership, partner management, business development, commercial negotiation, performance optimization, and cross-functional execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving subscription performance across core payment channels, building high-impact bank and card partnerships, and sourcing and managing strategic local and international partnerships with external, regional, and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. In-App Purchase (IAP) Channel Management

  • Own the commercial performance of IAP channels, including Apple App Store and Google Play, with responsibility for subscriber acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue performance.
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, Finance, Marketing, and regional teams to ensure smooth purchase flows, pricing and package implementation, entitlement, promotion setup, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze channel performance and customer purchase behavior to identify opportunities to improve conversion, reduce friction, and maximize revenue contribution.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and commercial coordination with app store and platform partners, including joint opportunities, platform campaigns, and relevant operational requirements.

2. Credit Card (CC) & Payment Partnerships

  • Own and grow the direct Credit Card subscription channel, with a focus on subscriber acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with banks, card issuers, and relevant payment partners to create promotional privileges, bundled offers, acquisition campaigns, and co-marketing initiatives.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations covering campaign mechanics, partner contributions, commercial terms, and execution requirements.
  • Track partnership and campaign performance against agreed KPIs, assess ROI, and identify opportunities to scale, optimize, or expand successful programs.

3. Local & International Partnerships

  • Proactively source, evaluate, pitch, negotiate, and close strategic partnership opportunities in Thailand and across international markets that can generate incremental revenue, subscribers, distribution, or strategic business value.
  • Develop and manage partnership opportunities across areas such as content, platform, distribution, co-marketing, corporate partnerships, and other strategic collaborations with local, regional, and international partners.
  • Develop commercial proposals and business cases, including opportunity sizing, revenue assumptions, deal structures, and implementation requirements for both local and cross-border opportunities.
  • Coordinate closely with Thailand-based partners, regional and international stakeholders, as well as internal Legal, Finance, Product, Content, Marketing, and other relevant teams to move deals from negotiation through launch.
  • Manage ongoing local and international partner relationships after launch, monitor deal performance, resolve issues, and identify renewal, upsell, or expansion opportunities.

4. Commercial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management

  • Build and maintain monthly and annual forecasts for subscriber and revenue performance across owned channels and partnership initiatives.
  • Monitor key commercial metrics such as conversion, churn, ARPU, LTV, subscriber growth, revenue contribution, campaign ROI, and partner performance.
  • Prepare clear performance updates, business recommendations, and management presentations for internal leadership and relevant regional stakeholders.

5. Cross-Functional Execution

  • Drive end-to-end execution of channel initiatives and partnership launches, ensuring clear timelines, ownership, and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, Content, Sales, and regional teams to ensure commercially sound and operationally executable solutions.
  • Act as the central commercial point of contact for assigned channels and partnerships, proactively identifying risks, resolving blockers, and keeping projects on track.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Business Development, Partnership Management, Subscription Growth, Digital Commerce, Channel Management, or a related commercial role.
  • Commercial & Business Development Skills: Strong track record in prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing partnership opportunities, with the ability to structure win-win commercial propositions.
  • Digital Subscription Knowledge: Good understanding of digital subscription models, IAP ecosystems, credit card payment journeys, and consumer acquisition or retention mechanics will be a strong advantage.
  • Analytical & Forecasting Abilities: Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial performance, build forecasts, evaluate ROI, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage senior external partners in Thailand and internationally, and coordinate effectively across multiple internal teams, including regional and global stakeholders.
  • Communication & Presentation: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong presentation and negotiation skills for external partner discussions and internal management reporting.
  • Project Management: Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and move initiatives from concept through negotiation, implementation, and performance review.
  • Mindset & Work Ethic: Proactive, commercially curious, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability
