Job Description

About Us

Proudly part of the DuluxGroup, B&D Group are the market leader in garage door solutions and technology. Since 1956, B&D has been keeping homes and families safe while manufacturing over 5 million garage doors worldwide.

The company thrives on teamwork, innovation, and employee well-being, believing that success comes from a united team. It champions continuous improvement and bold thinking, encouraging all team members to challenge norms, make a difference and never stop learning. Above all, B&D fosters a people-first culture, offering support, flexibility, and growth opportunities, with work-life balance deeply embedded in its operations.

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join the B&D Group Sales team and work closely with our Licensed, Independent and Shed Builder customer network. This is not a traditional “hunter-style” BDM role — around 80% of the focus is farming, growing and developing our existing customer base through strong relationships, structured account planning and a consultative sales approach. The right person will position themselves as a trusted advisor, helping customers grow profitably while representing B&D with professionalism, integrity and a clear focus on making our customers wildly successful.

A key point of difference in this role is the coaching and capability-building aspect. You’ll support Dealer Principals, business owners and Mobile Showroom Consultants by helping embed the sales process, improve conversion, lift premium product mix and create better long-term customer outcomes. If you enjoy developing others, challenging customers constructively, using data to drive growth, and building deep commercial relationships rather than simply chasing new logos, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the network.

Based in Revesby, this role requires attendance in the office each Friday, with the remainder of the week built around flexibility and trust. Whether you're working alongside dealers, coaching MSCs face-to-face, or delivering virtual coaching and capability-building sessions, you'll have the freedom to structure your week in a way that maximises outcomes and drives performance.

The role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact through people development and relationship management.

Our Benefits

  • Up to $1,000 annually to cover private health extras gap costs
  • Exclusive discounts on DuluxGroup products and partner offers
  • Stay active anytime, anywhere through our partnership with Fitness Passport
  • 20 weeks paid parental leave (primary carers) and 2 weeks partner leave from day one
  • Market leading learning, development and career pathways
  • Access to our Wellbeing Hub and full EAP support
  • Recognition programs that celebrate your impact

What we’re looking for

  • Has experience in business development, account management, territory management, or a similar role
  • An effective relationship builder who can coach and influence others, ask insightful questions, and use data to drive business performance
  • Enjoys working with existing customers or partners, rather than pure new‑business hunting
  • Is confident influencing, coaching, or developing others to improve performance
  • Is organised, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a field‑based role
  • Brings a relationship‑first mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Industry experience is not essential — we are more interested in how you work, not just where you’ve worked
