Job Characteristics: Responsible for driving profitable growth of life sciences sales by winning new customers within pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing, as well as building on existing customer relationships and expanding opportunities through new business. Business Development Managers foster strong customer relationships by providing personalized service and valuable expertise in cleaning, disinfection and delivering solutions to customers. In contrast to other selling positions, business development managers have highly specialized subject matter expertise (e.g., cell & gene therapy) or they are assigned to new geographies with limited penetration and high prospecting needs.The BDM position is sales-focused with the goal to identify/pursue new business and advance the sales cycle. BDMs actively partner with AMs and CAMs and add value by shortening the sales cycle through technical expertise influence.
Education/Work Experience: Degree in science-related field, 5 years relevant experience
